[Jian San, Ji Qi] Snowfall Dreams

A story written to fill in the gaps and practice my writing. Please ignore the genre tags.

[This is a friendship story, not a CP. Their bond as comrades who once shared life and death, trusting each other enough to watch one another’s backs, is more satisfying to read anyway. Besides, I can only write plot, not romance (sobs and wipes away tears).]

For Qi Jin, meeting Ji Bieqing and joining the Lingxue Pavilion was both fortunate and unfortunate.

The good fortune was that, having been born an orphan, he met a genuinely kind big brother. Ji Bieqing gave him familial affection, friendship, and an unrepayable debt of gratitude for recognizing his potential.

The misfortune was that their paths were ultimately different, and they could only head in opposite directions.

For Ji Bieqing, Qi Jin not only saved his life, but was also the person who brought him warmth during those three years, the only thread connecting him to an ordinary life in the mortal world.

But in the end, that thread snapped, and drifted toward the Pure Yang Palace on Huashan, where snow blankets the mountain all year round.

This mostly follows the complete story of the Feixue Zhemeng music video, then adds an original reconciliation scene for the two of them. (Qi Jin would never go back to Lingxue Pavilion with Ji Bieqing. Here, they make peace by sitting down to share a quiet meal and becoming friends again.)

Theme: Though our paths diverge, our friendship remains unchanged
