Being the Villain's Clone Isn't Easy

I'd heard that one way to form a bond with someone was through imprinting.

But I never expected to experience an even more ridiculous kind of bond: a master-servant bond.

Good heavens, who would believe this?

I blinked groggily awake. The first thing I saw was a young man who looked handsome, despite the sinister air about him. I was a little confused and started to ask where I was and what was going on.

But the moment he saw me, he raised an eyebrow and curled his lips into a smile. From his pale pink lips came a few words: "I am your master."

???

Listen to yourself. Does that even make sense?

How old are you, still playing master and servant? And who are you, anyway? What makes you the master and me the servant?

I frowned at once, and the next words out of my mouth were a polite greeting to his ancestors.

But before I could say anything, his gaze turned icy. My sharp eyes caught him squeezing the writhing ball of flaming threads in his hand.

The next moment, a pain that pierced straight through my skull left me unable even to cry out. All I could do was clutch my collar helplessly and curl up on the ground.

Only later did I learn that his name was Naraku, and that the thing in his hand was my heart. As it turned out, I was his incarnation.

So when I was forced to follow his orders and oppose several couples, I halfheartedly did the job, my mind full of ways to kill him, take back my heart, and escape to live freely as a demon.

I pretended to be serious as I dragged everyone into my domain, then put on a show of fighting a few rounds in the forced turn-based battles, waiting for the half-demon on the other side to get hurt, power up, and send me running.

One more failed mission.

Another day of clocking out early.

With all this extra time, I can think about how to kill Naraku~

What a fulfilling day!
