See my series page for my completed Western historical novels: The Bastard Dynasty, The Model Plantagenet Family, King Arthur, Queen Matilda, and The Macedonian Lion.
In 1184, on an utterly ordinary Christmas, the Plantagenet family was basking in the festive spirit of family togetherness: a loving father and dutiful son, brothers who got along, and a devoted couple. Then, without warning, a water mirror appeared. It was a miracle, and a warning of what was to come:
[Every blessing fate granted Henry II in the first half of his life would be taken away in the second. In the end, all would turn against him. Even his beloved youngest son, John, would betray him, and he would die miserably in an abbey, only for servants to strip the jewels from his body after his death...]
Henry II: Divorce! I want a divorce! No marriage, no children, a happy life forever!
[The legendary Richard I would not meet his end in a duel with Saladin, a war against his archenemy Philip II, or even a plot by his brother John. Instead, he would die in a completely ordinary little rebellion, struck by a crossbow bolt thrown on a whim by a cook.]
Richard I: Got it. I'd do it again.
[Frederick II had no idea that although he would successfully reclaim Jerusalem, he would face a papally backed invasion of Sicily and a notice excommunicating him. That's right: he reclaimed the holy city, but he was excommunicated.]
Frederick II: ?????? Are you people for real??????
[Alexios I never imagined that his appeal to the West for aid would end with him letting the wolves in. The Crusaders would accomplish what the Persians, Arabs, Bulgarians, and his many other old enemies had never managed: the sack of Constantinople.]
Alexios I: Rescinding my invitation to the Crusaders, effective immediately.
[During an utterly ordinary horseback hunt, Mary of Burgundy was thrown into a ravine and died a few weeks later. Her husband was swiftly driven from power, and their two children were soon to face a turbulent, difficult fate...]
Mary of Burgundy: Never riding a horse again.
[Isabella of Aragon would die in childbirth, and her son Miguel would die in his grandmother's arms not long afterward. Queen Isabella, mourning her beloved daughter, had no idea that compared with her three sisters, who were imprisoned, driven mad, and divorced, Princess Isabella was the lucky one.]
Isabella I: ...Starting today, I'll get in shape and outlive my husband.
1184: The Plantagenets in The Lion in Winter
1226: The Fall of the Hohenstaufens
1095: The Komnenian Dynasty and the Crusades
1482: The Rise of the Habsburgs
(To be continued)
A sky screen broadcast story, a collection of medieval dark jokes. It starts with the familiar Plantagenet family and will be expanded whenever inspiration strikes or my reading notes grow. There may also be bonus chapters featuring characters watching other stories.
My medieval male-lead transmigration power fantasy is also being updated!

"As the lava of Mount Etna devours this world cursed by Sodom, an emperor named Constantine will ride a white horse back from hell."
After transmigrating to the Middle Ages and being born into Europe's most illustrious family, Constantine has five crowns to inherit. His future seems bright, but what awaits him are the early deaths of his parents, ambitious schemers with their own agendas, a childhood of turmoil and abuse, and a first half of life full of setbacks. Frederick II was once hailed as "a modern man on the throne." Alongside achieving that same glory, Constantine will take the initiative and lead an even more magnificent life:
The Church hates my whole family? I'll use my incubus skills to flatter the pope until he can't stop grinning.
The Bulgarian tsar dreams of becoming emperor? I'll get you a knife and send you to claim the throne in the capital!
My uncle's been stabbed and is near death? I'll operate on him right away and give the Middle Ages a taste of medical marvels.
The French want to steal my wife? Sorry, the anti-French alliance has already formed. Your beatdown package is ready for delivery.
"He was a brilliant diplomat, a revolutionary who led the spirit of his age, and a true emperor of the world before the Renaissance swept in."
He is a great hawk soaring from another world into the Middle Ages, and he leaves the world astonished.

A sweeping ensemble story set in thirteenth-century Europe. The male lead is an all-around genius, morally gray, and devastatingly handsome. His love interest is still Matilda, the daughter of Richard I and Berengaria. A healing, cat-rescuing-and-raising DIY story. Pure sweetness and wish fulfillment, with no angst.
Theme: Uphold materialism
Medieval model family, what kind of black joke is this?
It's already July 28th, when will I update???
[The autumn of 1497 was the beginning of the disaster for the Shuangwang family. At the end of September 1497, Prince Juan of Asturias suffered from a high fever and died on October 4, 1497. Six months later, his posthumous daughter was born and died immediately. In July 1498, the eldest princess Isabella of Aragon died after giving birth to her son Miguel. In July 1500, Miguel, who had been cared for by Queen Isabella for two years, died in infancy. Queen Bloody Mary of England did not know that her devout grandmother lost her only son, favorite eldest daughter, and eldest grandson in her later years]
Waiting for updates every day is like waiting for takeout. My heart beats fast and my palms sweat. Can I be a "Meituan rider" and deliver updates to my bowl as soon as possible?
Damn, I've exhausted the books in my favorites, and I'm just waiting for your new chapter to save me! 🥺 If there is no update, I will cry in the comment area and turn into a little cat! 🙏🙏🙏
Can the author not be partial? I don't expect two updates a day, but I can't have the eagle wings next door one after another. There has been no movement here for a day and a half.
Did Beatrice marry Richard's illegitimate son Philip on this page? That's why she had the title of Queen of Egypt, so who holds the crown of Eastern Rome? Who was the emperor during Beatrice's reign in the Holy Roman Empire?
Will you write about watching SSR movies next?
Philip II could actually see it. I thought only Henry II and his family could see it.
What I want to see most after the historical live broadcast theme comes out! Thanks to the author!
