Queen Constance

After transmigrating to the Middle Ages, Constance's father was already in the grave and her mother had been forced to remarry. From the very first day she learned to speak, Constance knew her top priority was to scrape by under the thumb of her troublesome stepfather. And while she was at it, on Sicily, surrounded by powerful enemies, she would set herself a few tiny goals:

Day one: drive the Angevin branch of Naples into the sea;

Day two: drive the Turks into the sea;

Day three: drive her Aragonese relatives into the sea;

Day four: fund a famous tragic beauty from world history, and marry him into the family... Wait?

Constantine Palaiologos knew that while the crown on his head was ancient and noble, the empire beneath his feet was nearing its end. His father and brothers had exhausted themselves trying to prolong the empire's life, and he too had long been prepared to sacrifice himself. But while seeking aid from Western Europe, he met Constance. She would be his benefactor, his ally, his wife, and the love of his life. Together, they would save their empire.

This is still part of the Queen series. The heroine is the daughter of Martin the Young, heir to the throne of Aragon, and Blanche I, Queen of Navarre. The hero is John XI. The blurb is rather rough and will be polished later.
