After Wang Zhao ascended the throne, he began to notice that something seemed a little off.
The young emperor was noble, beautiful, and incredibly arrogant. He narrowed his eyes in thought. The country was at peace, the harvests were good, and he sat securely at the top. So what exactly was wrong?
The ministers below kept dropping hints, each of them weeping and warning him nervously: Be careful of the general! He might be coveting the dragon throne beneath you!
Wang Zhao narrowed his eyes slightly and looked toward his general.
The young general was as bright and unblemished as the moon, his peach-blossom eyes set in a handsome face. White soft armor hugged his waist and belly, while gleaming plates outlined his tall, broad-shouldered, narrow-waisted figure. He was peerlessly elegant and radiant.
And whenever the emperor's gaze fell on him, he would smile, his jade-like face framed by curved eyes and a sharp canine tooth. His smile was captivating, and his beauty unmatched.
What nonsense! The young general was his childhood friend. They had grown up together, innocent and inseparable, the best of brothers. Where was this talk of coveting the throne coming from?
Wang Zhao firmly refused to believe his general had any intention of rebelling.
The ministers presented their first piece of evidence.
The young general often watched the emperor's figure with a brooding gaze when the emperor wasn't paying attention. But the moment the emperor looked his way, he would compose his expression, curl his lips, and smile with that same breathtaking, radiant charm as always.
Yet he treated the other ministers with cold, savage disdain. This man was two-faced and full of ambition!
The emperor sneered. They were brothers. It meant that even when the general was in a bad mood, he still smiled at him. What was wrong with treating him well?
The second piece of evidence:
The young general wouldn't let you take concubines or name an empress. Whenever a memorial suggested filling the harem, he immediately submitted a rebuttal, and the person who had submitted it would suffer for days afterward.
He has designs on the throne and is controlling the imperial household and its heirs. He wants you to die without an heir!
The emperor lazily raised his eyes. They were brothers. It meant the general cared about his health. Too many consorts would exhaust and weaken him. He was still young, so there was no need to rush.
The third piece of evidence:
The young general commands the army and has never lost a battle, and yet Your Majesty handed him power until he now holds the whole court in his grasp.
Now he's seizing even more power from others. He absolutely cannot be allowed to live!
The emperor smiled faintly. They were brothers. The general had once kissed his hand and sworn to protect him for the rest of his life. It meant he was working hard to stand at the emperor's side. The emperor was deeply gratified.
The ministers watched their naive, arrogant emperor and wailed, Your Majesty! You've been bewitched by that villain! He's scheming for power and coveting your position!
The emperor raised an eyebrow and told them to get lost.
Even so, the emperor began paying attention to his young general. Not because he feared a rebellion, but because he wanted to understand...
Why was the general like this?
Once, in the night, the general had traced the emperor's lips with his fingertips, then secretly climbed into the dragon bed and embraced him, holding him tightly in his arms.
It was nothing. They had often slept together when they were young, and had always been close.
Once, the general had knelt at the emperor's feet, staring straight at him with a possessive, shadowed intensity. He had kissed the emperor's fingertips, desperate and yearning, his throat bobbing as his breath trembled. He had even licked them, leaving the emperor's fingertips sticky.
It was nothing. The general was pledging his loyalty and devotion.
Once, the general had held the emperor close, rubbing against him, his eyes dark and bewitching. His breath warmed the emperor's neck and ears as he rasped tenderly that he wanted them to be together forever.
It was nothing. Sovereign and subject were one, a beautiful tale, and their bond would surely be remembered for generations as the finest of friendships between ruler and subject.
But the emperor couldn't quite understand why the general was now in his arms, biting his neck.
The emperor's gaze was solemn as his slender, beautiful hand stroked the general's head. His fingertips idly ran through the general's hair while he lazily let the man lick and kiss his neck.
So why was the general like this?
A naive, sweet on the inside, arrogant, straight, noble, aloof and indifferent beauty of an emperor top x a seemingly radiant, intensely possessive, crazy stalker, devoted and doglike general bottom
1. Childhood friends. Beautiful top, strong bottom. The top isn't really naive and sweet: he's simply an utterly calculating imperial noble who trusts the bottom. The bottom is a wild wolf cub and mad dog, tall and handsome, radiant only in front of the top, and fierce and cold toward everyone else.
2. Sweet romance, both are virgins, and the bottom pampers the top. The top is straight; the bottom is a crazed, devoted stalker. If no one spells it out for him, the top will never understand that men can love men.
3. The bottom secretly resents the brotherly affection he hears about from the top's father, while using the excuse of brotherhood to kiss and bite the top. Good brothers should kiss; good brothers should be together for life. Brothers are brothers, though, and they can't kiss and sleep together at the same time, or they'd have to become husbands.
4. The bottom is a devoted, ghostlike stalker who will do all sorts of shameless things, like steal the top's underwear and masturbate with it, or secretly kiss the top at night. His thoughts about coveting the top will keep appearing throughout the story. He desperately yearns for and covets the top. He acts one way around others, threatening them, and another way around the top, like a little puppy. A very satisfying devoted dog type.
5. The bottom licks, bites, and gropes the top every day. They look like they're about to have sex at any moment, but to the top, it's just what good brothers do! It's all the bottom's fault: he's acted this way toward the top since childhood and trained him to think all brothers are physically affectionate, since the classics describe close brothers as sleeping side by side.
