Synopsis
A perpetually busy, broad-shouldered, cold, restrained, reserved, emotionally inarticulate, stubborn, patient, loyal marshal hero x a seemingly gentle and refined, but actually fragile, damp-and-dark, clingy mother heroine who wants her husband by her side every moment and wants lots and lots of love
I want to write this... The idea in my head is so satisfying: a beautiful woman with the gentle, elegant air of a mother, pale skin, and a voluptuous figure. Sexy, mature, and gentle, she smells wonderful and is admired by many. Her gaze is always forgiving, compassionate, and full of pity, making people instinctively want to call her Mom.
Everyone thinks she's gentle and accepting in everyday life.
After all, she's such a divine, gentle woman, someone whose bewitching eyes you could drown in.
Such a fragile, gentle, pitiful, enticing Mom.
In reality, she argues with her cold and distant husband every day, slaps him hard across the face, and is possessive, frantic, damp, and clingy.
Her husband spends every day shouldering the burden of saving the world and the whole country. They rarely see each other, and he can only meet her accusations with silence. He neglects his family and isn't good at expressing his feelings. Even during arguments, he just watches her break down hysterically in silence. They hardly ever get to see each other, and he can't stay by his wife all the time.
You only come home a few times a year. You miss our daughter's birthday and everything else. Do you even care about this family?!
Every time you say you'll stay for a month or two, some special assignment comes up and you leave early! It's been six years. We've been married for six years, and even the deepest love will wear away if you keep doing this!
You're always so cold. Would it kill you to say a few more words?! Bastard! Scumbag! Go die!
Say something! You useless man! Good-for-nothing! Scumbag! Bastard! Just die already! Useless man!
She raged and cursed.
[I hate you so much. I hate you so much.]
[An'an cried today and asked me if her dad didn't want her anymore. Why has he been gone so long?]
[I hate you, I hate you.]
[Go die.]
[Go die.]
After slapping him twice so hard that her own hand hurt, she would lower her head and sob, crumbling like a neglected wife, suppressing the feelings that had made her seem like an evil spirit.
The man wanted to approach and kiss her reddened hand, but she glared him back. After a brief silence, he simply packed his bags, as if accustomed to her hysterics, and prepared to leave on a mission.
Seeing him say nothing, Mom's expression turned cold again. She told him to get out, cursing her useless husband, useless man, man who never cared for his family, man who didn't deserve to be a husband... The marshal, admired by all the people of the empire, who gave orders outside and was obeyed by everyone, didn't dare make a peep in front of his wife. He bowed his head in silence, listening to her venomous curses and hatred.
His wife's hatred, his wife's resentment, his wife's curses.
The hero silently endured his wife's burning hatred. He was caught between his career and his family, unable to have both. Seeing her like this left him helpless and heartbroken, and he desperately wanted to change things. But he wasn't good at expressing his feelings. He seemed restrained and composed, holding Mom from behind and hoarsely asking her to calm down, yet after all that, he couldn't manage a single sweet word.
His furrowed brow only made him seem cold and restrained, haughty and aloof, silent, as if he thought Mom was making a fuss over nothing. He was giving her the cold shoulder.
He was driving this woman insane.
Then Mom, her anger rising, would slap him twice and tell him to get away from her.
Aren't you going to work?! Get out! Never come back!
With his face burning from the pain, the hero thought leaving might make her feel better, so he left. In reality, he thought about home every day, but didn't know what to say. He kept it all bottled up until it nearly killed him, and even started missing the fragrant slaps from his wife.
Every time he came back from leave and returned to work, his subordinates would discuss his swollen, reddened face and wonder how many times he'd been slapped. They even began to doubt his character, wondering if he'd brought a mistress home and angered that gentle, beautiful Mom into slapping him.
Hero: ...
After watching him leave, Mom would regret it and start sobbing, blaming herself, fragile and helpless.
It made people want to personally lick the tears from the corners of Mom's eyes, cherish and protect her, and condemn her useless husband.
Whenever he came home, the two of them would be clingy and affectionate for a while. His wife was gentle and clingy, tender as water. Then, when he left, they'd have a huge fight again.
In reality, Mom was the one who went on a rampage, arguing and slapping the hero. The hero was a legendary punching bag: a cold, arrogant marshal on the outside, but his wife's dog in private. Still, their conflict couldn't be resolved.
The hero never knew how to talk things out. When he really left to work as a marshal and save the world, Mom would start regretting it again.
She began wondering what the point of this marriage was, and even thought about getting a divorce.
...She wanted a divorce.
It's a story about a hero who can't say what's on his mind and a damp-and-dark, clingy Mom heroine who wants lots and lots of love.
Mom: If you don't give me lots and lots of love, then go die ^^
After his wife had slapped him hard several times and driven him out of the house, the hero started asking for advice online to ease the tension between them.
Frowning, he slowly tapped on the screen and briefly described his recent arguments with his wife: she went hysterical, slapped him, and yelled at him, but he couldn't leave her, and even thought she looked devastatingly beautiful like that.
But the comments went off track. They all blamed the woman, saying she was terrifying and that he should divorce her.
The hero read the replies one by one with a furrowed brow. Wearing a cold expression, he wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth and began to argue back.
Title: My wife is too clingy and emotionally unstable, but what am I supposed to do when I have to travel for work all the time?
Post:
As the title says. I'm 28, and my work is classified. I often have to go away on long assignments. My wife is 26. She's usually gentle, kind, beautiful, and delicate. She's wonderful, but whenever I say I'm leaving, she goes crazy: breaking things, slapping me, and yelling at me. Afterward, she cries terribly, and my heart aches for her. This time I have to leave for two months and will miss our daughter's parent-teacher meeting. I've already been slapped twice. How can I comfort her?
1st reply: She hits you and you don't even dodge? You're spoiling her!
Reply: I don't dodge. She needs to let off steam, and I don't mind.
2nd reply: Just divorce her. A woman like that is terrifying.
Reply: I'm not divorcing her. She's the most important person in my life.
3rd reply: This woman sounds terrifying. I recommend divorce. Don't enable her.
Reply: She's not terrifying. She's just scared. She's usually very gentle.
4th reply: Does your wife have mental health issues? You should take her to a doctor.
Reply: She just cares about me too much.
5th reply: Bro, are you being manipulated? Wake up!
Reply: She loves me more than anyone else.
6th reply: Won't your daughter be affected by your wife's behavior?
Reply: I'll protect both of them.
7th reply: Is your wife too controlling?
Reply: She's just afraid of losing me.
8th reply: Brother, you're too pathetic. A man should have some self-respect.
Reply: Self-respect isn't meant to hurt her.
9th reply: Your wife acts like this and you can still put up with it? I'd have run ages ago.
Reply: Nobody asked you to marry her.
10th reply: Crazy woman. If she were my wife, I'd have kicked her out long ago.
Reply: You have no right to judge her.
Original poster: Forget it. You people don't understand her at all.
Original poster: She's gentle, wonderful, and kind, and nobody asked you to marry her.
Original poster: Your judgment of her is unfair, and I suspect some of you are rivals who want me to divorce her.
13th reply: ...I'm dying. You've been slapped in the face and you're still defending her. You're a hopeless romantic. You two should be chained together for life.
Reply: Thank you.
They just don't understand. How beautiful she is when she cries, how soft she is when she's gentle, how her eyes glisten with tears when she's yelling at him.
What right do they have to say anything bad about her?
In real life, his wife wouldn't even spare them a glance. They don't deserve to marry his wife.
Content warnings: This is a female-dominant relationship, and in this world both men and women can give birth. The hero will have a miscarriage.
1. The romance is a blend of angst and sweetness. Neither lead is perfect; both of them have issues, both of them have issues. Don't judge them morally. They both consent, and their feelings for each other are extremely intense. I think the readers might get impatient.
2. An old married couple with a daughter.
3. Useless husband x resentful wife. The atmosphere is damp and ghostly, roughly speaking.
4. There's a reason the heroine is so crazy and damp-and-dark. In this setting, both men and women can have children, and there are things like psychic tentacles. At the beginning, the heroine miscarries because of the hero, and her husband is away for a long time. Her mental state becomes unstable, and she turns crazy, damp-and-dark, and starved for love. That's why the hero decides to have a child. If you can't accept that the heroine has been pregnant, please take note. The leads always have a female-dominant relationship, not a conventional male-female one. But the hero will give the heroine a red cliff.
5. A self-indulgent passion project.
Theme: She's my wife... My wife should slap me... Wife, I mean my wife...
