While investigating the KU6 Corporation's conspiracy, young reporter Xu Miqing is unexpectedly attacked by a bounty hunter sent by the company.

And that wish came true. The very moment she was attacked, she and the bounty hunter swapped souls and landed on Earth.

She looks at her bandaged hand, then at Si Lin, who's standing opposite her in a pink Lolita dress with a deeply troubled expression.

"If they find out you're not me, you'll die."

Si Lin's expression darkens. Through gritted teeth, he says, "You wanted to investigate KU6, didn't you? Do as I say, and I'll make sure you get back to the main star system alive."

"Uh, what should I do?"

"From now on, forget you're a reporter. You're a bounty hunter... First, get your hand out of my pants!"

And so the two begin their awkward careers as "actors."

"Understood. Mission accomplished."

Xu Miqing swings up a laser pistol and blows the head off an interstellar fugitive. Then she calmly walks over to the body and instinctively pulls out her recorder. "Hello. Could you describe how you're feeling right now?"

Looking at the murder scene they'd just cordoned off, Si Lin leans to one side and casually tosses a microphone in his hand.

"If you ask me, this blood spatter... isn't artistic enough."

The online reporters with him: ?

Mo Xin gets dragged into a mysterious game.

"An immersive murder mystery? Sounds fun." Mo Xin spits out the foxtail grass in her mouth and decides to turn over a new leaf and make something of herself.

[Congratulations, player. You have entered the game. Your role is locked: Cannon Fodder, Lv. 1.]

[Player, please note: staying alive is your top priority.]

Mo Xin: Wait, cannon fodder?

But then again...

One person is cannon fodder. What do you call a whole organized and disciplined group of cannon fodder?

Villains! (Loudly)

If the villains work for her, wouldn't she be invincible?

Mo Xin immediately posts an announcement in the game: Teammates wanted. No scruples required.

He spits and turns away. "Fine, I'll just die. Stop humiliating me."

"No, no, no." Mo Xin turns his head back and forcibly pours the wine into his mouth. "Do you know what my name means?"

The man freezes.

"Mo Xin means... Don't get too excited. You're not going to die that easily."

"Once you drink my wine, you're mine."
