[The main story is complete, with bonus chapters still coming~]
[My next story is starting soon: A Guide to Observing Beika Town. Check my profile to find it~]
My name is Mikoshiba Mika. I'm an ordinary student at an ordinary high school, and right now I'm doing my best to get into the school tennis club and win over its perfect, genius- level male god.
At a dreamy summer festival, we were as close as the leads of a shoujo manga, scooping goldfish and eating candy apples together. At the end, beneath the gorgeous fireworks, he took my hand and confessed:
"Mikoshiba, I like you. Will you go out with me?"
It wasn't quite how I originally planned things, but we still ended up dating! It was a perfect confession, if you ignored the sea of dark heads following us the whole time.
It turned into a live broadcast!
When the new semester began, I thought I could keep enjoying my sweet, ordinary daily life. But it seemed someone had flipped a strange switch in this world. Tokyo's crime rate shot straight up, and bizarre cases kept cropping up. Yet the idiots around me, who only knew how to play tennis or draw manga, didn't notice a thing. To keep these idiots from getting caught up in one incident after another, I diligently pulled people out of crime scenes every day.
Then one day, just after I'd rescued someone, I turned around and saw my late older brother's childhood friend, who had been missing for years, show up in Tokyo again as a restaurant waiter. I was stunned.
Even the top student from the police academy had fallen so low that he had to work odd jobs as a waiter just to make ends meet. Japan really was doomed.
-
From the day he entered the police academy, the cat-eyed undercover agent swore to devote his life to his country and its people. Even on the day his cover was blown, with a gun pointed at his own heart, he felt no regret.
But even so, before he died, he still felt that the people he had wronged most were his family and friends. He still worried that he might drag them down with him.
Later, he miraculously survived. When he returned to Tokyo and saw the little sister he'd raised from childhood again, he felt an indescribable relief alongside his worry that his identity might be discovered. Thank goodness he hadn't dragged her into it. She'd grown up safe and healthy.
But he soon realized he'd celebrated far too soon :)
#You brats, stay away from other people's little sisters!
[Reading Guide]
* All five police academy friends survive.
* The main story only covers the TV anime through episode 178 and the national tournament. There isn't much match content, and some results may change, but the overall story stays the same.
* I'm better at writing everyday life, so this is mostly slice of life. You can usually tell which cast is featured in each chapter. There are lots of crossover stories, so don't miss out~
* Pairing: Fuji. Everyone else is platonic, with no unrequited crushes, and canon couples stay together.
* The plot requires a messy timeline, and there are lots of personal settings. Sorry for any out-of-character moments.
* Some parts are very Mary Sue.
* Please don't pit any characters from the original works against each other or start arguments. Everyone is a good kid.
* I'm sensitive, so please be kind, everyone. If you drop the story, please don't tell me (bows).
* Enjoy~

A Guide to Observing Beika Town
As the top-ranked Saniwa in the Government of Time, I've always been very confident in my abilities, convinced that no mission is beyond me.
That is, until I stood on a street in Beika Town in the present day and watched a group of children run past me. For the first time, I began to doubt myself.
I took out the [Beika Town Observation Guide] my coworker had given me, only to find that the chance of getting any mission clues from it was zero.
[Beika Town Observation Guide]
1. Beika Town is not safe, so please watch your own safety during the mission.
2. Cases happen often in Beika Town, so detective is the town's top profession. If you see elementary school students running around a crime scene, don't be surprised.
3. [Sleeping Kogoro] is real. If you notice anything unusual, do not speak of it, or the safety of ■■■■ will be threatened.
4. The target of this mission is ■■■■. They have reached an ■■ agreement with the Time Retrograde Army. You must stop them.
5. The purpose of ■■■■ is ■■■■.
[Notice]: 1. This guide is the sole reference for this mission. Please keep it safe. Due to ■■, some information in this guide is missing. Saniwa, please explore and fill in the gaps yourself.
2. All the people listed as observation subjects in the guide are clue-bearing individuals. Observe them carefully to gather clues.
3. The factions of the observation subjects are unknown. Saniwa, please identify them carefully and eliminate the Time Retrograde Army without altering history.

After reading the guide, I felt a little fondness for a man named Amuro Tooru. After all, he was the only man who'd given me three pieces of information.
This world might as well just be destroyed.
Amen.

Title: Does anyone know what the present-day Beika Town is like? [HOT]
As the title says, I suddenly got a mission to travel to the present day for work a while ago. I haven't been there much. Has anyone been to Beika Town? Any advice?
1L Simple and Honest Beika Town
As the name suggests, Beika Town is a bustling district in Tokyo. Every citizen here obeys the law and is kind to others. And if you're a devoted fan of detective novels, you absolutely can't miss Beika Town, known as "a detective's paradise." It's home to countless detectives, who work alongside the police to keep the city safe. According to an unnamed source, Beika Town's case-solving rate has reached 100% in recent years, ranking first in Japan! Wonderful Beika welcomes you!
2L I'd Rather Fight Detectives All My Life
What's wrong with the person above? Did your internet cable get connected to Beika Town? @Moderator, can you ban people who post ridiculous fake ads like this? Don't you know that telling people to go to Beika Town is a one-way ticket to getting struck by lightning!!!
[What Have I Done to Go from Saniwa to Detective?]
[I've come to Beika Town.]
[Reading Guide]
* All five police academy friends survive, and the Bomb Disposal Team survives in a different way: they're brought to the Government of Time to work, and each of them will have at least one stint working for it.
* Unrequited crushes ahead!! Out-of-character moments ahead. The plot requires a messy timeline, and there are lots of personal settings.
* Shuichi and Akemi have no romantic storyline.
* I'm drafting this now. It should start around summer vacation.
They Really Don't Get My Humor
After my parents were transferred for work, I moved with them and transferred to a school in Tokyo.
The good news: My youth story is about to begin.
The bad news: On the first day of school, I got hit by a ball and rushed to the nurse's office.
"I almost thought I was going to get bullied."
"On the first day of school, a little yellow-green ball smacked my clever head. I thought I was lucky enough to unlock a classic anime plot."
"And then?"
"I got a day off."
"That's great. Did they offer you any compensation?"
"...They invited me to manage the tennis club and excused me from club activities. Does that count?"
"You have no ambition at all."
I solemnly rolled up the paper in my hand and put it in my mouth.
You have no idea how terrifying club activities in Japan are for a shut-in like me.
"Anything else to share, my dear school-anime heroine?"
"Sure, sure."
"Could you send me a copy of A Guide to Common Internet Memes?"
"What do you need that for?"
"Remedial study."
*
Ever since Hara Airi became the tennis club manager, the Seigaku members kept hearing all sorts of strange things.
"...If Tezuka and Fuji started running from opposite ends of the tennis court at the same time, how long would it take them to meet?"
"Why can't they just run together?"
"Because doing it that way has a certain beauty of pointlessness."
"It takes ten minutes to fill a basket with tennis balls and three minutes to empty it. If Echizen picks up the balls while Kikumaru throws them in, how long will it take to fill the basket?"
"...Why would Kikumaru-senpai throw the balls away while I'm picking them up?"
"Wouldn't that mean it would never get full, nya?!"
"...Nobody gets my weirdness. You all think I'm an idiot. But it's fine. If the world kisses me with pain, I'll just die of pain."
"Which one of you upset her this time?"
Hara Airi: It's exhausting dealing with a bunch of people who don't get the jokes (sigh).
Theme: Justice will always triumph over evil
Hahahahahaha, the people who always have their accounts hacked have finally had their accounts hacked too!!
It's funny, Kidd, who always steals other people's accounts, got his account hacked 😏
Tezuka, it's you as expected, Net King Succubus
Three brothers: making a sharp crack [caigou]
Qi Shen is here! No wonder the police academy team can survive
Oops, I can't do it. It's so funny.
Hahahahaha what on earth are you doing playing tennis?
Okay, okay, my brother is the heroine of a shoujo manga, and my sister has become a younger brother.
Hahaha everyone in the department is so cute
I think Qi Disaster is really not something that ordinary people can see [changed]
