Game designer Tao Ze quit her job this summer and returned to her hometown. She accidentally activated a demon-catching System and was sent to the cultivation world to catch demons.
Her unfinished pixel-art demon-catching mobile game was chosen as a magical treasure for capturing demons.

The demon-sealing formation behind the mountain broke. The fox demon who had guarded it for a thousand years needed only one more year to atone for his past and cultivate nine tails.
Looking at the fair, beautiful fox man in front of her, Tao Ze couldn't help giving a silent whistle.
The fox, furious that all his efforts had gone to waste, tried to eat Tao Ze. As she fled for her life, the demon-catching System sent her back a thousand years to catch demons at their source.
Each time Tao Ze met her quota by catching a demon, she would be allowed to return to the present once.
The moment Tao Ze landed, a snow-white fox ran straight into her arms. The fox gazed at her with watery eyes and let out an adorable whine. She immediately hugged it and shouted at the System, "I want to raise this one! This is the one I want!"

One moment she had just finished kissing her little fox, and the next she was back in the present, being hunted.
The man looked even angrier. He irritably ran a hand through his hair, then grabbed Tao Ze by the throat. "Tell me, what did you do to me?"
Why had memories of this woman kissing and cuddling him suddenly appeared in his mind?

On her first day as a new demon catcher, Tao Ze caught a very inconspicuous little demon: Pu Mian.
After betting with the little demon over who could sleep longer, Tao Ze won by one minute and captured Pu Mian in her app.
Watching the pixel-art pink dandelion bouncing around in the app, Tao Ze paid her no more attention. But the little demon bounced around on her phone and published the game.

One night, someone discovered the newly released little game. The first level had only one tiny, nondescript character, and the way to clear it was to play with Pu Mian for ten minutes without falling asleep.
Such a crude art style, such a terrible main story, such boring mumbling and snoring...
Wait, why did I fall asleep last night? How could a level-ten all-nighter like me fall asleep?
The next day, unconvinced players tried again.
That was such a good night's sleep, hehe.
On the third day, players who didn't believe the game could cure insomnia gave it a try.
A miracle doctor! I slept like a baby.

As Tao Ze caught more and more demons, more and more little pixel-art characters appeared in the game.
There was the Peach Blossom Demon who brought people romantic luck, Granny Qiu who loved making prophecies, the March Dog who ate bad luck, and others.
Tao Ze's demon-catching app became a hit.
