Synopsis:
Su Muyin and Ying Bai first met at the wedding for Su Muyin's mother's second marriage.
The banquet hall was full of guests, laughter, and conversation. Only the daughter of her future stepmother sat across from her with her head bowed, revealing a slender, pale neck as she silently ate.
Su Muyin heard someone at their table say that her name was Ying Bai, and that she had just started her senior year of high school.
Su Muyin looked up, but all she could see was the crown of the girl's head and her slightly puffed cheeks.
So well-behaved. That was Su Muyin's first impression of Ying Bai.
They met for the second time at Su Muyin's doorstep.
Newly married, their mothers wanted some time alone together, so they dropped Ying Bai off at Su Muyin's house and left, leaving the girl standing all by herself at the door.
She held the handle of her suitcase, her thin back ramrod straight, though the tips of her ears had quietly turned red.
So cute. That was Su Muyin's second impression of Ying Bai.
Ying Bai was well-behaved. Ying Bai was cute.
Su Muyin thought that since their mothers weren't going to take care of Ying Bai, there was no reason she couldn't do it herself, right?
She brought Ying Bai home, thinking she'd taken in a skinny stray cat. She never expected the girl to be a wild, untamable wolf.
Young and already up to no good, Ying Bai took advantage of Su Muyin's lingering drunkenness and pinned her to the sofa.
After a long while, Su Muyin covered her neck, which had been bitten several times, kicked the girl in the chest, and told her to get lost.
Ying Bai said nothing. She caught the ankle of the foot pressed against her chest and kissed Su Muyin's calf.
Later, their mothers came back.
Delighted to see their daughters getting along, they happily served them food.
Under the table, where their mothers couldn't see, Ying Bai secretly hooked her leg around Su Muyin's and rubbed against it.
