The forecast called for rain the day they met, but the sun shone all day.
"That pretty new transfer student doesn't talk to anyone, but she always seems to strike up conversations with you."
His friend took a sip of his drink. "I've already seen several guys ask for her contact info, but she didn't give it to a single one."
"Maybe she doesn't date in high school," another friend said, eyes fixed on his game.
His friend froze. "Then... could she be attracted to your inner self?"
At first, Jiang Baiyu wasn't convinced.
Until one day, he finally snapped. "You only like me for my face, don't you?"
Fang Suyu blinked. "Is that what you think? Though, actually, I prefer the cool type... What do you think?"
Oh. So she didn't even like his face that much.
When Fang Suyu returned to China, Jiang Baiyu didn't go to the airport at all. He was calmly playing golf.
His friend grinned as he explained to the person beside him, "They were never a couple. Besides being classmates, he has nothing to do with her."
Jiang Baiyu turned around and tossed his golf club at his feet.

Fang Suyu saw him again while keeping her college roommate company at a bar.
He had changed so much. Ever since he'd blocked her from seeing his Moments, Fang Suyu hadn't heard anything about his life.
Now he was even more handsome.
...And cooler, too.
Fang Suyu couldn't help staring at his face. Then she remembered they hadn't spoken in two years, and reluctantly looked away.
The next second, someone across from them walked over with a smile. "Ladies, mind if we join your table?"
Later, Fang Suyu found herself running into Jiang Baiyu for no apparent reason, in all sorts of places.
But every time he saw her, he looked so fierce that Fang Suyu figured he didn't want to run into her. So, being considerate and kind, whenever she saw him, she immediately turned and left.
Later... one day, she was stopped downstairs at her apartment building.
"You were the one who said hello to me first," Jiang Baiyu ground out. "And now you think you can leave without saying hello?"
