Golden boy Jiang Boheng spots Zheng Leye, a fellow student from the School of Media and Communications on the neighboring campus, before graduating from college. He goes over to introduce himself, only to be firmly rejected.

Zheng Leye looks solemn. "Sorry, I'm not interested in meeting you."

When Jiang Boheng was little, his grandmother arranged a betrothal for him. It was to take effect after he graduated from college.

It was merely an agreement between their elders, not an absolutely binding one. But Jiang Boheng is determined to fulfill every wish his late grandmother had, no matter how things turn out.

After learning that the other party isn't opposed to it either, Jiang Boheng decides to lay down three rules with Zheng Leye.

"If either of us isn't willing after three months of being engaged, we'll call it off."

"For the next three months, we'll avoid contact unless absolutely necessary."

Yet from that day on, whenever Jiang Boheng can't see Zheng Leye, he lies awake at night.

Jiang Boheng realizes the person in front of him has a very unusual way of thinking. He's kind of interesting.

Month Two.

Jiang Boheng realizes that Zheng Leye is actually surrounded by lots of excellent men. Of course, none of them are as good as him.

Month Three.

Jiang Boheng starts plotting how to keep Zheng Leye in the engagement.

·An "effective bout of insomnia" means that every time he can't sleep, his feelings have changed a little, hence the word "effective."
