Cecily was an angel. Well, she had to admit she was only an angel-in-training, studying at the Academy of Light. She was an excellent student, gentle by nature, and a model angel in every way.
But how could an angel be so unlucky as to trip on perfectly flat ground, choke while drinking water, and find that the delicious pancakes she’d been waiting in line for had all sold out just as she reached the counter?
And what angel gets knocked unconscious by a black-and-white fluffball falling out of the sky for no reason at all?
Cecily brought the culprits home. Why? Because cuteness conquers all. Heh heh heh, adorable little creatures like these were born to be scooped up by a naughty angel.
With two more kittens, her already impoverished household was in even worse shape.
On the fifteenth reminder to pay her rent, Cecily tearfully washed the two kittens. While they slept, she gave one to the richest angel in her class and the other to a second-generation angel whose parents were both archangels.
I’m sorry, my little sweethearts. Mommy shouldn’t stand in the way of you living a good life.
But why did the God of Light and the Demon show up in person at the graduate recruitment fair?
While fighting the demon Xius, Siad, the God of Light, accidentally fell under his opponent’s curse and turned into a white cat. Damn it, what a vicious devil!
Luckily, he managed to cast a reflection spell in time. Now the demon had turned into a cat too. Good, a draw.
But why did this curse have a time limit? Siad glared fiercely at Xius.
Xius rolled his eyes. You idiot, we’re twins. You enjoyed her petting you too, didn’t you?
Even so, it was all that damned demon’s fault!
