Married First, Falling in Love Later with My Cold Wife

Zhou Yingchu and Su Qianyue have been married for two years.

Barely a few days into the marriage, Zhou Yingchu already thought she'd rushed into it. Su Qianyue was a busy group CEO who planned everything, big or small. Even their Valentine's Day dates had to be booked in advance, and their only meaningful interactions were after the lights went out.

Not only that, Su Qianyue also limited how often they could be intimate, supposedly for Zhou Yingchu's health.

Even after two months apart, Su Qianyue wouldn't reach out with so much as a message. Zhou Yingchu always came after work.

Disheartened, Zhou Yingchu asked for a divorce. Su Qianyue merely lowered her eyelids and replied coolly, "Fine."

But then--

On the eve of their divorce, Zhou Yingchu's cold wife got into a car accident, lost her memory, and became a different person.

After another late night at work, Zhou Yingchu returned to their cold, empty home.

Su Qianyue, usually as dull as dishwater in their marriage, looked at her with soft eyes and began unbuttoning her clothes one button at a time. "Dr. Zhou, you've worked hard tonight."

Zhou Yingchu is a surgeon whose life consists of just two places, the hospital and home. The happiest part of each day is waiting for her wife to come home.

When Zhou Yingchu decided to divorce, she cried day and night. Her mother felt for her. "A marriage of convenience can never create affection. If you want a divorce, then get one."

That night, seeing Su Qianyue cling to her and beg her not to divorce her, Zhou Yingchu's heart softened.

After losing her memory, Su Qianyue goes from having no desire at all to wanting intimacy all the time. At last, Zhou Yingchu gets to show her what she's capable of.

Then one day, Zhou Yingchu comes home and turns on the light to find the divorce papers she'd dug out in the study.

Suppressing her emotions, Su Qianyue speaks with unyielding obsession. "I remember now. You were the one who asked for a divorce."

Zhou Yingchu: "..."

Bonus scene:

Su Qianyue sits on the sofa and raises a ruler. "Still want a divorce?"

When the punishment comes down, Zhou Yingchu's cheeks turn red. She hides in her wife's arms, shaking her head. There's no way she's divorcing a wife this lovely.
