What's Wrong with Faking a Bump, Meow?!

Zhu Niannian transmigrated into a stray calico cat.

She also had two little sisters to raise.

After many twists and turns, she discovered that her family had moved away and disappeared without a trace.

Seeing her sister grow thinner by the day from illness, she decided to track down her ex-husband, Cheng Wu, and stage an accident to get his attention.

Rumble

With a thunderous crash, Zhu Niannian made her dazzling entrance, little tail held high, sliding into view.

She collided squarely with the headlights of a Rolls-Royce stopped in the pouring rain.

The tiny cat, uninjured, lay motionless: "Meow, " (Ex-husband, I'm here to stage an accident.)

The moment she saw Cheng Wu get out of the car, Zhu Niannian sprang up as if from her deathbed and pounced, biting his trouser leg and refusing to let go.

The little cat's wet tail swished like a radar dish. She tilted up her head, bedraggled as a drowned rat, and meowed pitifully at the bewildered Cheng Wu.

Before Cheng Wu could crouch down to take a closer look, two more cats with different coat patterns appeared and surrounded him.

"Meow, meow, " (You hit us, so you have to take responsibility!)

Only then did Cheng Wu realize he'd been targeted by three stray cats staging an accident!

And just like that, the three little ones were no longer strays. His sisters recovered from their illness, and they became the darlings of his villa. Cheng Wu hired a dedicated cat caretaker for them. They did nothing but eat, drink, play, and make trouble, enjoying a carefree life.

Later, one night, the little calico wandered into a forbidden area and discovered Cheng Wu clutching their wedding photo, laughing and crying like a madman as he muttered to himself.

In the deserted hallway, his stifled sobs felt like shards of ice dropping into the little cat's heart. She shivered, then walked over step by step and rubbed against his trembling hand. She reached out with both paws and hugged her ex-husband of her own accord. "Stop crying. You look awful. You can borrow the kitty's arms for a cuddle."

Cheng Wu's wife, whom he had taken for himself, had fallen into the sea.

He searched for two years and couldn't find even a trace of her remains.

He refused to believe it. Like a madman, day after day, he apologized and repented to the figures on the surveillance footage.

His trembling hand stroked the face he'd longed for day and night in the photograph. His eyes bloodshot, he finally gave in, gritting his teeth as he pleaded: "Zhu Niannian, if you'll just come back, I'll agree to divorce you..."

But Zhu Niannian never came. Instead, he got a little calico as skinny as a skeleton.

He adopted the cats and gave them a comfortable home.

Then one day, after getting drunk, he started hearing his wife's voice. His wife was hugging him of her own accord, and even comforting him.

But when he woke the next morning, only the little calico was beside him.

Some time later, that familiar voice he hadn't heard in so long appeared in his ears again. And that wasn't all: the little calico at home started acting strangely. She not only called her mother-in-law, but also used his computer to look things up online.

Cheng Wu thought he might really be going crazy. He gave up and stopped taking his medication for controlling his emotions.

It wasn't until he saw with his own eyes that the little calico had grown into the image of his beloved that he realized the person he'd been waiting for had been back by his side all along.

Bonus scene

Cheng Wu held his lost-and-found treasure and cried like a child, repeatedly blowing on the little cat. "Honey, did it hurt when you staged that accident?"

Zhu Niannian: "The accident didn't hurt, but these past few days have nearly killed me!"

She struggled to push away the lunatic clinging to her like superglue for days and nights, but the more she struggled, the tighter his arms locked around her.

Zhu Niannian was at a loss. She wiggled her fluffy cat ears to look cute and plead with him: "Cheng Wu, can't you get off me and talk first?"

That shameless Wu had tears streaming down his face as if they were free: "Waaah, waaah, honey, you don't want me anymore..."

Zhu Niannian rolled her eyes and wrapped her tail around him helplessly. "I do, I do! I want you so much you'll never die!"
