I Really Don't Want to Work Hard (System)

A little celestial master who just wants to slack off x A cold, aloof CEO who's sharp-tongued, secretly passionate, and unlucky

After Shen Zhihuai was bound to a System that dragged her into trouble, she had no choice but to leave the mountain. On her first trip down, Chengguang had been ordered by their master to guide her as she adjusted to the mortal world.

Back then, the enthusiastic Chengguang had dragged her into having her fortune told.

"You're destined to fall for an older woman. But remember, if you meet her, don't run from your fate. The more you avoid it, the unluckier you'll get."

Shen Zhihuai scoffed. She couldn't possibly fall for anyone. No matter how beautiful another woman was, she absolutely wouldn't fall for her.

Then she really did meet her destined soulmate, Xie Yuanxia.

Xie Yuanxia really was unlucky. Shen Zhihuai would say it three times, for emphasis. Of course, she herself was pretty unlucky for meeting and turning down her destined soulmate. She'd say that three times, too.

The first time she met Xie Yuanxia, the woman had a soul nail driven into her. After Shen Zhihuai dealt with it fairly easily, she turned down her destined soulmate's advances. Then the money she'd just earned vanished completely, because the Taoist temple had caught fire and needed rebuilding and renovation.

The second time they met was because the number of deaths at a development owned by Xie Yuanxia's company had been inexplicably rising. After Shen Zhihuai resolved the problem with a grave expression and again rejected her destined soulmate's advances, the money she'd earned vanished once more: she'd been hit by a car and ended up in the hospital.

The third time they met...

Long, long ago, a certain someone whose name shall remain unknown once again had her fortune told by Chengguang. "I regret not listening to Senior Sister Chengguang. I should have accepted my destined soulmate right away."

"A destined soulmate is just the best!"

Little Scene:

"What do you think of me?"

"You're, you're pretty great."

"I heard you only wanted to make a fortune off me back then."

"Impossible, absolutely impossible! How could I have been after your money?"

"Then you were after me?"

"…"
