Ye Chu, attending the third term of a language program at Busan University, has once again met a new senior instructor.

This time, the instructor is not only beautiful and kind, and easy to understand in class, but also has a great sense of humor. Most importantly, when asked during an open Q&A whether she had a partner, she said she was single.

Even so, Ye Chu swears to heaven that, although this instructor had countless qualities that appealed to her, at least at first, she really did look at her with nothing more than an appreciation for beauty.

But once her feelings changed, Ye Chu decided to follow her heart and go for it without hesitation.

She launched straight into a classic chase: the other woman could run all she liked, but Ye Chu would make sure she couldn't escape, even with wings.

As for Li Shangen's ex-girlfriends, Ye Chu says: They're all trash, not worth mentioning.

A long time later

Sipping an iced Americano, Li Shangen sighed. "You were really reckless back then. If I weren't so magnanimous, do you think you'd be allowed in my bed today?"

Ye Chu blinked, trying to look cute. "Maybe I was a little reckless, but things worked out pretty well for us in the end, didn't they?"

Li Shangen shot her a sidelong glance and scoffed. "If you weren't good-looking, do you think your recklessness would have worked?"

Ye Chu touched her face and summed it up smugly. "So my looks and personality are exactly your type. You weren't that opposed to me pursuing you in the first place. Just admit it."

Li Shangen, after being called out, attacked her with a pillow. "Go sleep on the sofa!"

Please note!!!

1. In this setting, people of the same sex can marry and have children.

2. Since the story takes place in South Korea, a major entertainment industry powerhouse, you might run into Korean celebrities just walking around or shopping, so some will inevitably appear. Though there are a few entertainment-industry plotlines, the story is mostly about everyday life.

3. There is a 10-year age gap, and Li Shangen has dated before.

4. The author did not major in business for her master's degree and did not attend Busan University, so much of this is fictionalized.

Theme: Strive relentlessly and persevere.
