Amnesiac Hagiwara wakes up in a pitch-black room and finds a so-called System that talks to him through emails on his phone.
[You've lost your memory.]
Hagiwara: Yeah, I can tell.
[The date is November 7, three years before Year One of Detective Conan.]
Hagiwara: I don't think that's important. Maybe I should start by finding out my name?
[Your name doesn't matter.]
Hagiwara: ?
[You're the Boss of an international criminal organization.]
Hagiwara: ?
Him? The Boss of a criminal organization?
Before the utterly confused Hagiwara can figure out how someone like him could become the Boss of a criminal organization, the one calling itself a System tells him that he's from another world and has already died in his original one.
If he wants to live again, he must follow the System's instructions and clear his name within four years.
Hagiwara sighs in relief. He knew he couldn't possibly be that "impressive"!
Until, not long afterward, Hagiwara, who thinks of himself as an ordinary law-abiding citizen, sees the organization's top killer execute a traitor with his own eyes. Yet he stands at the execution site, chatting and laughing without the slightest reaction.
Hagiwara begins to doubt himself: ...Was he really a law-abiding citizen before?

At some point, a member of the organization with the codename Heradorra suddenly appears in the other members' field of vision.
In the eyes of the other codenamed members, this one, who always has Gin by his side, is clearly highly ranked, but his way of doing things is extremely strange.
One moment, he shoots a member of the organization for making a mistake without warning. The next, he appears in the street to stop a car about to hit a pedestrian.
He tosses aside the bloodstained gun in his hand, acts like an innocent good person, then walks into the Metropolitan Police Department with a straight face and accepts the praise of the many police officers there.
Organization members: ...
Is this right?!
What criminal organization has a member who does so many good deeds that even the police publicly praise him?
And Gin doesn't even stop Heradorra's strange behavior!
The young man codenamed Heradorra winks and says with a smile, "Because doing good deeds helps you live longer~"
