Flirtatious adult Atobe x stubborn beauty of a designer

Matsuo Sakuya, adopted daughter of the Matsuo family, one of Neon City's four great financial dynasties, has been having a hard time lately. Her ex-boyfriend, whom she dumped, seems to have undergone a subtle change in personality. Specifically, he's become sharp-tongued, rude, fragile, and clingy!

When he catches a college guy chatting with her:

The day he finds out she's going abroad:

Her ex-boyfriend even shows up at her doorstep, drenched. "Heh, planning to sneak away from me again, darling? I won't make the same mistake twice."

Sakuya: "? Who are you calling darling? And I'm only going abroad on a business trip!"

The dumped husband, still trying to win her back today: "I absolutely won't let you leave me again, my dear Saku."

Reader's Guide:

1. The heroine is Akashi's younger sister. Akashi doesn't appear much, and you can enjoy the story even if you haven't read Kuroko's Basketball. There's more to the heroine's background as an illegitimate daughter, and it will be explained later.

2. The story opens with a reunion, and is packed with headcanons. This is Atobe in his complete form: he wants the family business, tennis, and love, all of it.

3. The author's experience is quite limited, so there may be rich families using golden hoes. Please bear with me, and thank you very much!

4. Atobe attacks the heroine's company to force her to show herself. Once she does, he stops.

Masumi looks at the famously stern Tezuka, who is practically like a disciplinarian, and thinks his air is just like her big brother's.

While her classmates are too nervous to speak to him, she gives his shoulder a friendly pat, just like she would with her own big brother. "Tezuka, give us a smile!"

Though a flash of surprise crosses his eyes, Masumi still notices the corner of his mouth rise by one pixel.

And Masumi discovers that Tezuka may be stern, but he's always willing to help!

He even grits his teeth and reads a script like The Student Council President Falls in Love with Me, then offers to help her find material.

Later, one goes on to play professional tennis while the other makes a name for herself in show business. They reunite in public when she is invited to toss the coin at the Australian Open.

Masumi asks him in Japanese, which neither his opponent nor the umpire can understand, "Tezuka, why are you still so serious? Give us a smile!"

Only then do the spectators and reporters realize that player Kunimitsu Tezuka can smile, and that he can smile so tenderly.
