Don't Be Your Empress

The new emperor ascended the throne and granted a general amnesty.

As the daughter of a disgraced official, I was finally released from prison.

--

He looked down at me from his lofty position and asked if I regretted it.

Regret it? Yin Yu is the last person entitled to ask me that.

--

On the way to the imperial mausoleum, Yin Yu rode up and blocked my path.

He said that if I was willing, I could be his empress.

That boy had been bullied, brought home by his father, and was so hungry that he ate ravenously.

Those clear eyes, that unwavering resolve...

I wasn't willing.

--

"Yin Yu, you chose every path yourself. You can't blame anyone else, can you?"
