Too Late

Yuran had a stable job, a comfortable family background, and modest material desires. With that steady income, she could easily have lived without worry.

But after they married, Lin Zhi looked down on her meager salary. He told Yuran to give him a chance and let him support her.

Blinded by love, Yuran believed him.

For a while after she quit her job, Yuran really was happy. But as time passed, Lin Zhi became her whole world, and he gradually grew impatient. Even when Yuran had done nothing wrong, Lin Zhi would fly into a rage and criticize her for no reason.

At first, Yuran endured the hurt and refused to leave because she still had hope for Lin Zhi. But in return, he only became more and more cruel.

This time, all her love had been worn away and turned to resentment. Yuran decided to leave Lin Zhi for good.

But Lin Zhi insisted on seeing her one last time. On the day they met, Yuran looked at Lin Zhi in front of her and seemed to see the man who had loved her so much before they married. She watched him weep and tell her that he still loved her.
