The Seven-Year Itch [GB]

"A short story in first person"

Diary 1:

Today, my boyfriend Su Chen came to me with red eyes and asked to break up.

His reason: We aren't right for each other.

We dated for four years before he decided we weren't right for each other. Were we just forcing ourselves to make it work all those years? I don't get it. Unless he thinks I'm terrible in bed, I don't think his reason for breaking up makes sense.

But before I could figure out why, Su Chen got into a car accident.

He forgot all four years we'd been together.

Diary 2:

We got married.

I think I should be grateful for the car accident, but Su Chen doesn't see it that way.

Whenever I bring it up, he gets unusually angry.

When he's mad enough, he even insults himself.

Cute.

Actually, I want to tell him:

"I'm glad I got the chance to get to know you all over again."

:D
