Xiao Yulan and Yuan Xun are childhood friends who've known each other since they were little. Their families are close, and every summer they organize a camping trip.
Every year, their parents arrange for them to sleep in the same tent, supposedly to foster brotherly affection. So that summer, they lie back to back in the dark, each harboring a secret.
Neither can sleep.
Until one of them finally speaks up.
Who will speak first? And what will he say?
Top's perspective:
Yuan Xun has always hated Xiao Yulan, ever since they were little. He hates that Xiao Yulan is sunny, cheerful, and popular. He hates how cute Xiao Yulan is and how he knows just how to act sweet, making everyone soften at the sight of him. He hates how Xiao Yulan is always clinging to him, calling him "big brother" and asking him to help with things.
In short, he hates him.
Because Yuan Xun is a gloomy loner, silent and awkward around people. Even his parents say he's a rotten log.
Having a childhood friend like Xiao Yulan to compare himself to is enough to make him seethe with resentment.
And, as luck would have it, he discovers Xiao Yulan's secret: he sees Xiao Yulan kissing a guy with his own eyes! And that guy is Yuan Xun's classmate!
It's a huge secret. He never imagined Xiao Yulan would like men.
Now he's screwed. He can't sleep.
Bottom's perspective:
Xiao Yulan has been troubled lately. His childhood friend and big brother, Yuan Xun, seems to have discovered his secret. Yuan Xun walked right past him while he was kissing his boyfriend that day.
What should he do?
He's always felt that his childhood friend doesn't like him much. When they were kids, Yuan Xun would always tell on him when he got up to mischief. What if Yuan Xun sneaks off and tells his parents this time?
Sigh. He can't sleep.

1. The top only seems to hate the bottom. You know what I mean.
