Xi Yan is a complete demon, keeping Fang Zhi confined at his side under the guise of being lovers.

In a private hospital room,

Xi Lang braces both hands on the edge of the bed, pinning the alarmed Fang Zhi in place. His peach-blossom eyes narrow, his expression unreadable. “Sister-in-law, the cause of my brother’s accident hasn’t been determined yet. You’re his lover, so I’d appreciate it if you’d take good care of him until he wakes up.”

Fang Zhi grits his teeth. Catching sight of the bodyguards in black at the door from the corner of his eye, he can only swallow his anger and agree.

The cause of the accident is determined, and Fang Zhi had nothing to do with it. But Xi Lang still doesn’t call off the bodyguards.

Fang Zhi can’t take it anymore. He’s done.

Xi Lang gives a soft laugh, grips the back of his neck, and leans in to whisper, “If you don’t want to, then don’t. But my brother is a wreck now, and there’s no one to take care of me. You’ve been so considerate and attentive with him. Why not take care of me instead?”

Fang Zhi is horrified. He knew it! Xi Lang isn’t worried about his brother at all. He’s been hung up on what happened three years ago!

But Fang Zhi is a practical man. Xi Lang isn’t as cruel as Xi Yan. He gives him money and won’t let anyone bully him.

The only problem is that after pining for him for three years, every time feels like Xi Lang is trying to make up for all the times he missed.

Fang Zhi cries until his eyes are swollen, all while counting the money in his account and grinning with delight.

He enjoys a life of extravagant excess, spending money like water and having such a good time that he completely forgets Xi Yan is lying in a hospital bed.

Xi Yan wakes up.

Xi Yan says he loves Fang Zhi and wants to marry him.

The wedding ring has already been made. It’s custom-crafted entirely by hand and waiting at a famous jewelry store.

Fang Zhi is dumbfounded and wants to run away again.

Xi Lang drags Fang Zhi back and grits his teeth. “Stay put by my side. If my brother catches you, you won’t get to keep any of your money.”

Fang Zhi hurriedly protects his little stash of cash, close to tears.

He doesn’t want to stay with Xi Lang either. Xi Lang is too rough in bed and doesn’t know the first thing about being gentle!
