A new neighbor moves in next door to Fang Hanxi.
It happens at half past midnight. Fang Hanxi has just locked up his shop and come home.
They cross paths briefly in the hallway. The new neighbor has the sleeves of his white shirt rolled up and is carrying a cardboard box full of books into his apartment. His forearms are beautifully defined and firm.
The other man wears gold-rimmed glasses. His handsome face turns briefly in Fang Hanxi's direction, revealing a lovely mole beneath one eye.
The next time they meet, Fang Hanxi hears a commotion in the hallway.
The gas stove next door seems to be broken, and a repairman is coming and going.
Fang Hanxi scratches his head, looks at the food he's just finished making, and asks if his neighbor would like to join him for dinner.
Then the neighbor's food delivery is sent to the wrong address.
When Fang Hanxi carries it over and knocks on the door, the neighbor is wearing only a bath towel around his waist, revealing a clearly defined six-pack.
"Sorry, I must have put in the wrong address."
The neighbor takes off his glasses. Without them, he looks rather bewitching, his refined features full of apology.
After that... Fang Hanxi doesn't know why, but he keeps running into his new neighbor more and more often.
They soon become close.
His new neighbor is a great cook. His food tastes better than Fang Hanxi's.
He's also very thoughtful, always making extra breakfast and bringing the spare portion to Fang Hanxi's shop on his way to work.
He's gentle when they chat, the kind of person who's easy to get close to.
Then Fang Hanxi mentions that a friend has set him up on a blind date. The guy is supposedly a handsome six-footer with a lot going for him.
Fang Hanxi has never been in a relationship, so he's nervous about it.
His neighbor pauses, then gently reassures him not to be afraid.
...Still, Fang Hanxi doesn't know why his neighbor wants to come along to meet his blind date.
The neighbor says it's safer for two people to go together, and he can offer his opinion.
Well, maybe his neighbor is just being extra considerate.
Fang Hanxi thinks.

Xiao Anzhou falls for someone, a cute treasure he meets after moving house.
He does his best to restrain himself and show his gentle side, taking things slowly.
His plan works, and they grow close very quickly.
But the other guy seems incredibly dense. He even goes on a blind date.
"He doesn't like beef."
At the dinner table, Xiao Anzhou smiles politely at the man across from him, nudges his chopsticks aside, and serves Fang Hanxi a rib.
"Let me take care of it."
Behind the lenses, where Fang Hanxi can't see, his gaze carries a weighty warning.
It seems that no matter how gentle and considerate he is, he needs to claim his place first.
Xiao Anzhou thinks.
