The Summer That Trapped Me in a Loop

Then I found out that someone had taken my boyfriend's place and kissed me at a party.

[The blurb is written in third person. I haven't decided whether the story itself will be in first or third person.]

[I've decided to write an American high school story. I should start it in summer 2025. To make it easier to read, I'll stick with familiar names.]

The heroine is probably an unnoticed nobody at school. On Cupid's Day during her senior year, just before graduation, she receives a strangely large number of roses and only then realizes that a whole bunch of people have crushes on her. It will be a loop story. She's an average-looking girl, but I still need to think more about how the loop and the story's setup will work.

Possible suspects for now include her stepbrother, who attends an Ivy League school and has come home for summer break; the only son of a top Beverly Hills lawyer; the school's star football player; her childhood friend, a radio announcer; the son of a school board member in a seriously dramatic family; and the illegitimate son and legitimate heir of a top billionaire, among others.

Please read the following first:

An alternate setting inspired by American society, with plenty of drama.

A date ≠ someone you're dating ≠ a boyfriend or girlfriend.

2025.2.25. I'll give this another thorough edit before I start posting.
