After My Resume Was Rejected, I Got Together with the Boss

[Daily updates after entering VIP]

The autumn recruitment season is brutal. Tong Nian is rejected at the final interview by the company of her dreams, and even receives the CEO's personal assessment:

Her resume is all flash and no substance. Her professional ability is nowhere to be seen.

The position she was all but guaranteed goes to the well-connected Qi Xiwen. Tong Nian's resume is left out in the cold, and she seethes with indignation. To make matters worse, Qi Xiwen comes to gloat, boasting that she's the future girlfriend of the president of Huanrun Group.

Excuse me?

Tong Nian wonders if she heard that right.

They're announcing it to the world when there's not even a hint of a relationship?

Is there something wrong with the company's boss? He rejected her resume, and now his future girlfriend is... Looks like this company is nothing special after all!

Tong Nian and Qi Xiwen have disliked each other for a long time, and Tong Nian can't stand Qi Xiwen's smug, superior attitude.

With old grudges added to a new one, Tong Nian decides to infiltrate enemy territory. She'll make Lu Ciyan, the man Qi Xiwen calls her future boyfriend and the president of Huanrun Group, fall at her feet. Then she'll throw his own words back in his face:

"All flash and no substance. No professional ability to speak of."

And reject him outright.

Just as Huanrun Group rejected her resume, she'll reject him.

Lu Ciyan's world has no place for romance. He has no interest whatsoever in relationships with women.

That is, until a woman appears in his life and overturns everything he thought he knew.

He begins to return Tong Nian's advances and respond to her enthusiasm.

He even starts wondering whether, if she likes him this much, dating and marriage might be worth putting on the agenda.

Then one night, after too much to drink, their relationship takes a dramatic turn and goes further.

Lu Ciyan thinks they'll go register their marriage the very next day.

But who could have guessed Tong Nian would wake up and call him...

all flash and no substance, with zero skill?

And now she wants to run?

Lu Ciyan: Running is not an option.

Then I guess we'll just have to do it a few more times.
