A Shanghai Fairy Tale

1.

After a hospital stay, Sang Yu has a change of heart. She resolves to find an easier job and change her way of life.

During the gap between jobs, she dresses herself up in a polished, luxurious style, magnifying all the longing for beauty that she has kept suppressed in her heart.

In high heels and a flawless full face of makeup, one of the few times in her life she has looked so polished, she meets Chi Shu.

Only, does Chi Shu seem to mistake her for the secret mistress of a middle-aged businessman?

2.

Chi Shu has had everything go smoothly for him since childhood. He's the model good kid everyone else's parents wish they had, and he buried himself in his studies to get into a top-three university. Romance has never interested him in the slightest.

Until he meets Sang Yu.

The first time he sees Sang Yu, she's standing under the blazing sun, bare-faced, with sweat beading on the tip of her nose, yet still working hard.

The second time he sees Sang Yu, she's wearing impeccable makeup and acting intimate with the boss of a publicly listed company.

The difference between the two encounters is so striking that, though Chi Shu usually avoids meddling, the moment he sees Sang Yu, he can't help wanting to tell her that the boss has a wife, and that what she's doing is immoral.

If she wants to date someone, she can date him.

He's fit, ambitious, and decent, and his salary is respectable for this city. He's a pretty good choice for a boyfriend.

"This story is all about this: Working is already exhausting, but who says a wage slave can't have love too? ^^"

|Single couple, happy ending. The mistress in the blurb is a misunderstanding.

|Wage slave x wage slave, a short story, not very long.
