During the accident, Li Chen, a commander under the general, survived thanks to his protection.

The young boy forces himself to hold back his grief, keeping it buried in his eyes as he tries to face the mourners with a brave front.

Out of gratitude to the general, Li Chen finds Lucas after the funeral.

"I used to serve under your father. Would you like to come with me? I can take care of you."

He crouches down and asks the boy.

Lucas stares at his face for a long while, then finally nods and reaches out his hand.

After Li Chen leaves the military due to his injuries, he focuses on taking care of Lucas in every little detail.

As Lucas grows up day by day, the look he gives Li Chen when the man isn't watching becomes increasingly possessive.

Everyone says Li Chen once had feelings for General Gareth.

And since he was also a survivor of the accident, when the military finds the exact coordinates where the general disappeared, they send someone to Li Chen, hoping he'll go investigate.

Li Chen thinks it over briefly, then ignores the danger of the mission and leaves Lucas behind to go alone.

But things don't go smoothly. He's trapped inside a wormhole, loses all sense of time outside, and survives on the supplies aboard his starship.

Time twists inside the wormhole, and he has no idea how long has passed outside. As his provisions run out, Li Chen knows his end is near.

Just as he closes his eyes, ready to face death, the black hole before him suddenly splits open, and someone steps through.

The tall man looks familiar. He wears a dignified military uniform, his chest covered with medals for his many achievements, and looks down at Li Chen.

"Don't you recognize me? I suppose it's been three years."

Seeing the confusion in the other man's eyes, he crouches down, gently grips his chin, and leans in to give him a forceful kiss.

"Li Chen, you left me behind for my father back then. Is this really how you wanted things to end, with you in such a sorry state?"

Feeling the touch of his lips, Li Chen's eyes flash with shock.

The familiar-looking man before him is none other than Lucas, whom he hasn't seen in years.

He looks just like an old acquaintance, but he's the son of that old acquaintance.

Bonus scene:

["You're becoming more and more like your father, Lucas."

Li Chen strokes his face and murmurs.

"Is that so? I'm honored. I only wish it would make you look at me a little more."

Lucas's expression darkens as he holds Li Chen tightly in his arms and answers in a low voice.]
