Shen Lan x Ji Ningfeng
A sweet, obedient, clingy bottom x a stubborn, straight-laced top
Shen Lan, a young man from the Kingdom of Daliang, drowns while trying to escape an arranged marriage to an ugly official, then transmigrates into modern society.
Before he can adjust to his new surroundings, he's forced into another arranged marriage.
The good news: his intended is a man.
The bad news: the man is straight, doesn't like men, and is supposedly a bit short-tempered.
Shen Lan: Maybe I should just run away from this marriage again QAQ
Then, at a banquet, he finally meets his intended, Ji Ningfeng.
Looking at that face, which seems made to match his exact taste, the hopelessly handsome-face-obsessed Shen Lan suddenly thinks that maybe this marriage isn't such a bad idea after all.
He works up the courage to step forward, tug on Ji Ningfeng's sleeve, and ask softly:
"Hello, are you my husband?"
That's what people here call their spouse, right?
Ji Ningfeng is the second young master of the Ji family. He's handsome, and his family background and looks are both exceptional.
He never thought his family would arrange a marriage for him. And if he had to marry for the family's sake, why did his intended have to be a man?
He'd planned to put the other guy in his place at the banquet, but that soft little "husband" bewitched him, and somehow he agreed.
On their wedding night, Ji Ningfeng takes a deep breath, thinking he needs to have a proper talk with his new husband, keep his distance in their life together, and find the right time to get a divorce.
But then the bedroom door opens, and Shen Lan, fresh from his bath and smelling sweet, snuggles into his arms.
The sweet, obedient young man looks up with clear, dewy eyes and smiles shyly:
"Husband, are we sleeping together tonight?"
Ji Ningfeng falls silent for a moment. His Adam's apple bobs, and somehow, once again, he says:
"Yes."
Ji Ningfeng expects their married life to be a complete mess, but to his surprise, they get along wonderfully.
Shen Lan is like a little marshmallow: clingy and adorable, and a master of cute behavior.
When he gets ready to leave, Shen Lan ties his tie and asks, "Husband, can I have a hug?"
When he comes home late, Shen Lan asks plaintively, "When are you coming home? I'm missing you a little now, and I'll probably miss you even more later."
Even when they argue, Shen Lan just stamps his feet and says, "I'm mad at you, but that doesn't mean I don't love you anymore."
At first, Ji Ningfeng: Even if I die or jump off this building, I'll never fall for a man!
Later: Well, this is delicious.
After watching the two of them act like lovebirds, a friend asks quietly, "Second Young Master, didn't you say you were going to get a divorce?"
Ji Ningfeng gives him a cool look and replies:
"Relax. I'm not so besotted with him that I've lost my mind. This is all part of my divorce plan. I know what I'm doing."
"All right, enough talk. My baby is calling me home for dinner."
P.S.
1. Both leads are each other's first love, and neither has been with anyone else. A sweet story of a couple who dote on each other.
2. Handsome top, adorable bottom. The bottom is a traditional, old-fashioned little wife who calls his husband "husband" every other word. The top is stubbornly straight but turns into a doting husband through self-persuasion.
3. A sweet two-person comedy. The author's writing is amateurish and the logic is a mess. I'm writing this indulgent story to satisfy my own tastes, making it up as I go. Everything serves the plot.
4. No children in the main story. If I write about that, it'll be in a separate extra.
