A Woman Disguised as a Man Takes the Imperial Exams

After transmigrating, Xie Zheng became the daughter of a top scorer in the imperial examinations.

Her father wanted to climb the social ladder, so he murdered his wife and daughter. The original owner failed to take revenge and was buried alive instead.

When Xie Zheng arrived, the dirt had already been piled up to her neck.

She didn't want to die, so she clamped her teeth onto a passerby's trouser leg.

After escaping death, Xie Zheng promptly abandoned her skirts and hairpins, disguised herself as a boy, and enrolled in an academy.

Heard that her scumbag father craved power and would do anything to rise in the ranks?

Then she'd climb even higher than he did and trample him underfoot!

Years later, Xie Zheng came first in all six imperial examinations, rose rapidly through the ranks, and reached a high position in office in just a few years.

Meanwhile, her scumbag father was still struggling in a low-ranking sixth-grade post.

Later, on the very first day she was appointed Grand Secretary, Xie Zheng resumed her identity as a woman.

The world said that Lord Xie had wielded the imperial seal as a woman and held power over the court, leaving her nothing more to wish for in life.

Little did they know that the official robes were not all Xie Zheng wanted.
