I Picked Up a Little Wildling

The sun hangs halfway above the horizon, brushing the tops of the birch trees. Their branches droop, and round-eyed crows perch there. The crows here are an auspicious sign, but they're far too cheerful: they swoop at cars and are even more eager to land on people's shoulders.

Ling Tang is ready to say goodbye to the world, traveling from Nanjing to Altay.

Halfway there, an eighteen-year-old boy flags down his car.

The boy looks obedient, but he's incredibly vulgar.

One moment it's "Wanna drink some milk?" the next it's "My little cock hurts."

The usually calm and mild-mannered doctor finally loses his patience.

"Fuck."

The boy looks sharp, but he's completely uneducated.

"Ling Tang... which characters is that?"

The usually gentle and tolerant intellectual can't help being caustic.

"Did you even finish middle school?"

"Hehe... I've never been to school."

"...Why not?"

"I don't have a household registration, bro."

Altay really has no night. Half the sky is fiery red, and every inch of land, every cloud, is magnificent and vast. Ling Tang can no longer remain a detached observer. The little wildling who believes that whoever feeds him is his mother has completely latched on to him.

"Ling Tang, I'll love you until the day I die."

Ling Tang (top) x Le Ye (bottom)

Ten-year age gap, devoted older-man top, both virgins, happy ending.

They don't kiss until the bottom is over twenty-one. (The title sounds a bit scandalous, but it's really an innocent, funny romance.)

A story about an undocumented boy chasing love, also known as Altay Has No Night (road-trip novel).

The first few chapters contain a little dialect, but not much. (As for "milk," everyone around here says it like that! (covers face) It just means cow's milk.)

Theme: Love others, and love yourself too.
