When Batman arrests Rosemary’s adoptive father, the girl’s shocked and desperate expression makes him feel guilty. He has seen that same look on someone who witnessed the tragedy of their parents.
The responsibility he feels for destroying the home of a poor orphan who has been through so much becomes one of the reasons the Big Bat decides to adopt Rosemary.
Rosemary, after the truth comes out: Oh, I was actually thinking, “The old man’s been arrested and his assets are frozen. Doesn’t that mean I won’t get a thing? This whole year was a waste of effort. Batman, I hate you!”

* Although the heroine is a rotten little brat, this is essentially a warm (?) story about a rotten brat getting humbled and the Batfamily helping her reform and find redemption.
* Don’t worry, the Batfamily is smart, and they gave careful consideration to adopting the heroine.
* The heroine won’t become a good person. She’ll only become a little less bad. Nor will she end up living happily ever after with the Batfamily.
* The scheming brat won’t get her way, and not a single Bat is harmed by her in this story.
* CP: Green Goblin. One of the heroine’s adoptive fathers is the original Green Goblin. The idea is to keep the villains together so they don’t go out and harm anyone else.
