[Hunter X Hunter] Yorknew City Doesn't Believe in Tears

Cake-and-fork setting, angsty, melodramatic, and dark

Miss Noah Gluttony was born without a sense of taste. Her appetite could never be satisfied, and her life felt meaningless. She became a chronically empty, repressed neurotic, until one day she caught the most delicious, tempting scent in the world on someone.

It was just like a little strawberry cream cake.

His sclera were whipped cream.

His pupils were strawberry jam.

His tears were bitter almonds.

Ah, so bitter, yet with a lingering, tantalizing roasted aroma. Miss Noah licked his tears, clumsily heartbroken over her little cake.

“How can I make you sweeter, Kurapika?”

A flash of his furious scarlet eyes crossed her mind, and Miss Noah finally remembered where she had seen them before.

She already had a pair of such keepsakes, preserved in formaldehyde.

One day.

When Kurapika opened the door, he found the house filled with Scarlet Eyes.

In a daze, trembling, he picked up the containers one by one and placed them in the niches he had prepared long ago.

But something was wrong.

There was exactly one pair of Scarlet Eyes missing.

Noah Gluttony’s Nen Ability is [Lighthouse in a Golden Spoon]. She can find the location of anything.

Thanks to this, her family has plundered and amassed a vast collection of rare treasures and scarce weapons, becoming the number one crime syndicate in Yorknew City.

But her ability has one condition.

She must first put the item in her mouth, chew it, and taste it.

"Before you read, a few notes"

1. The heroine is a fork, and Kurapika is a cake. This setting includes original additions, and the story’s own definitions take precedence. It is not G-oriented!

2. This is an anything-goes, unhinged work, a dark, sour-and-sweet melodrama that doesn’t care about logic. I’m not listing other content warnings for now because they might spoil the reading experience. It’s definitely a one-on-one romance.
