Auspicious Light in the Alley

This is an essay I wrote when I was seventeen or eighteen. Back then, I even submitted it to "New Concept," but of course, it sank without a trace.

The writing is affected and pretentious, with deliberately piled-up flowery language and the air of a young person forcing themselves to be melancholy. Even so, I still love it, and I've kept it tucked away on my computer all this time.

I can't believe so many years have passed since I wrote it.

It's no masterpiece, but I can't bear to let it gather dust. Even if the essay doesn't fit Jinjiang's style, I've decided to post it here, where I first began.
