Spoiled, beautiful, universally disliked bottom x stern, old-fashioned older top with a fatherly air
Song Jiao had a domineering, overbearing mother, and growing up around her, he developed the same spoiled, overbearing personality.
Who could have guessed that his mother would suddenly fall gravely ill and die, leaving him all alone? His heartless father stole all the family assets, and even his mistress dared to move into the family home with her son. The real young master of the Song family, Song Jiao, was thrown out onto the street.
The people who used to follow him around like dogs went completely mad, wanting to crush him into the dirt for good. Faced with this desperate situation, Song Jiao jumped straight into the river without a second thought.
When he opened his eyes again, he had suddenly arrived five years in the future. Every one of his enemies was thriving.
Meanwhile, Song Jiao, a man who had been dead for five years, suddenly reappeared and could barely manage to stay alive.
Worst of all, he was too foolish to see through someone's scheme and drank spiked liquor. In a daze, he was slept with by some unknown man.
The next morning, Song Jiao looked at the tall, handsome man and irritably ordered, "Give me one million. Then we'll call this even."
The man stared at him expressionlessly, as if weighing whether he was worth one million.
Adhering to the principle that a wise man knows when to yield, Song Jiao compromised. "Five hundred thousand."
Fu Zhenglin didn't give him any money. He took him straight home instead. Song Jiao was furious. What kind of broke loser sleeps with someone and doesn't pay?
Only later did Song Jiao learn that Fu Zhenglin was now recognized as the leading figure in the business world, and everyone who met him had to address him as "Mr. Fu."
Song Jiao was kept at home by Fu Zhenglin like a songbird with clipped wings. One after another, people hoping to curry favor sent others over, thinking they knew what Fu Zhenglin liked. He threw them all out and took the opportunity to get back at them, too.
Song Jiao thought Fu Zhenglin had been bullied by him in the past and wanted to humiliate and take revenge on him. He played along to Fu Zhenglin's face while secretly planning to escape. When his escape attempt failed, Fu Zhenglin caught him and tied him to the bed to demand an explanation.
Crying pitifully, Song Jiao admitted his mistake, saying that he had been immature in the past and asking Fu Zhenglin not to hold it against him or take revenge.
But Fu Zhenglin tenderly kissed the tears from his cheeks. "What silly things you're saying, Jiao Jiao. Why would your husband take revenge on you? I can't dote on you enough."
Later, Song Jiao reappeared before everyone as Fu Zhenglin's lover. His former enemies nearly fainted at the sight of that face. Nestled coyly in Fu Zhenglin's arms, Song Jiao said, "Honey, he's so ugly. I don't want to see him."
Fu Zhenglin waved his hand and made the man disappear from Song Jiao's sight, then soothed him tenderly. "Don't be scared, Jiao Jiao. If there's anyone else you think is ugly, your husband will make him disappear, too."
Once they learned who Song Jiao was, all his enemies lived in fear. Some fled in the middle of the night, while others came to apologize. Not one of them met a good end.
What could they do? The resurrected Song Jiao had found himself a devil to protect him.
