After Faking My Death, My Ex-Husband Went Crazy

A sensitive, devoted bottom x a sharp-tongued, flamboyant top who can fly off the handle at any moment

Everyone hates Jiang Zhimiao. Only Baizhou is kind to him without asking for anything in return.

So Jiang Zhimiao gladly spends more than a decade as Baizhou's little sidekick.

Jiang Zhimiao loves Baizhou but doesn't dare reveal even the slightest hint of his feelings. He's afraid of being hated, afraid of being abandoned, so he treads carefully, terrified Baizhou might notice anything.

Then fate plays the cruelest joke on him.

Baizhou suddenly proposes a marriage of convenience, saying it's to keep his family's pressure to marry from disrupting his work plans.

Jiang Zhimiao can't believe it, but Baizhou pinches his cheek just like he did when they were children, calls him cute and obedient, and says Jiang Zhimiao is the person he likes best.

Jiang Zhimiao has always been unable to resist Baizhou's praise or pleas. His heart softens, and he agrees.

After they marry, things between him and Baizhou remain just as they were before, without the slightest change. The only difference is that Jiang Zhimiao becomes even more careful.

Jiang Zhimiao knows he shouldn't get his hopes up, but when Baizhou kisses him after getting drunk, his heart still flutters.

When Baizhou gets drunk and insists on looking for him, he lets himself imagine that Baizhou might like him too.

And when Baizhou mistakes him for someone else and spends a passionate night with him, Jiang Zhimiao chooses to keep it secret.

Jiang Zhimiao thinks he'll probably be Baizhou's little sidekick for the rest of his life.

But when their three-year agreement ends, his dream shatters. Before Jiang Zhimiao is even ready to divorce Baizhou, he hears rumors that Baizhou spent a night of passion with someone else.

Jiang Zhimiao wants an explanation, but Baizhou only says, "It's none of your business."

Jiang Zhimiao's heart feels as if it's been cut to pieces. He knows he can't keep following Baizhou with an untroubled heart. He's greedy, and wants something beyond friendship.

Jiang Zhimiao leaves without a word. When they meet again, Baizhou pins him against a wall, eyes red and rimmed with tears. "Jiang Zhimiao, where the hell have you been all these years?"

Jiang Zhimiao feigns composure. "Mr. Bai, please behave yourself."

Baizhou grits his teeth. "You're my lawful spouse. What the hell do you mean, behave yourself?"
