[Western Crossover] A Failed Batman Isn't Superman

As the actor playing Batman from Universe D36941, it was undoubtedly a failure. It failed to protect its universe, and it failed to protect its System.

[...Host, survive.]

The Kryptonian template it urgently exchanged for was incomplete. After putting it in the Fortress of Solitude and opening a space-time passage to another universe, the System had exhausted all its energy.

When the Lasso of Truth from another universe looped around his wrist and he was asked who he was, he gave the backstory the System had set up for him as its final act.

"I can be Batman, or I can be Kal-El."

.

The story probably won't get any readers, but here's a list of things to watch out for anyway:

The premise is very weird. The protagonist has no pairing in the main story, but there are references to past feelings from when he played Bruce Wayne. The actual pairings are SuperBat and GreenRed.

The protagonist has been Batman for decades, but because his mind is scrambled, he'll be very... inhuman and inexperienced (because I simply can't write it).

Inspired by Flashpoint: The man has Superman's face and Batman's expression, and looks like a young man in his early twenties. His suit is like the platinum fake Superman suit, but all white and with gloves.

The character setup he gives the Justice League includes the supposedly orphaned Kryptonian (20) and Batman (40+) having an extraordinary age-gap one-sided love (Batman is the one being loved, but although he's moved, he won't accept it because the Kryptonian orphan has never even left the Arctic).

The protagonist respects everyone in the Justice League, follows a no-killing rule, won't kill the Joker or "reform Gotham," and won't overstep his role. His combat ability won't surpass Superman's.

Also, the author has had enough of trauma-bait stories, so I refuse discussions about "who wronged whom" or excessive pity. I stand by the idea that Batman is at the heart of Gotham and that Batman is a great dad. I won't entertain arguments against either point, but discussion, teasing, and insults about anything else are welcome. (This applies only to the author, not their parents.)

No putting heroes down, and no "X is just a weaker version of Y" arguments, because I like Green Arrow.

Theme: Heroes must not be maligned. Justice is not entertainment, and love is eternal
