[Western Crossover] The Magic-Side Superman

Pairing: Superman x Batman (SuperBat, no switching or splitting them up)

Warnings: Genderbent yuri, suddenly really wanted to write beautiful women cuddling. Earth-11. A magical Superman drops in on Drowned Batman.

Also known as "The Squishy Mage Is Forced to Switch to a Melee Tank," "Come on, You're Really Going to Make a DPS Take the Hits?" "A Superman Who Can't Fight in Melee Isn't a Good Mage," and "The Magic-Side Superman Is Still Explaining Why She Wasn't Brainwashed Today"

As everyone knows, Clark Kent, AKA Superman, has almost zero resistance to magic. He's often nerfed for the sake of the plot, and every day it's either a disconnect from the start or a hard-control effect beating up our teammates.

Meanwhile, in a certain magical universe, Kara Zor-El is the daughter and former head of the House of El, one of Krypton's three great magical families. Naturally, her magical talent is maxed out. Though she trains often, the physical limits of a mage mean she has chosen to put all her points into mana. Her strategy is simple: if she can't kill you, she'll die trying.

Until one day, a magical experiment goes wrong and Kara ends up in another universe. Caught completely off guard, she smashes a certain vigilante's Batmobile. The moment she lands, she's saddled with a massive debt and can only work for a picky rich man to pay it off.

The Batman Who Laughs is searching for allies among his counterparts, planning to destroy the Bright Universe together for fun. The few counterparts he's found so far have all lived up to their status as Bats from the Dark Multiverse. They're all so purely tragic and evil that their corpses feel warm.

Then he arrives on Earth-11.

A genderbent Bruce Wayne? Sure, sure. Figures. Even genderbent, she's gorgeous.

Beside her is a genderbent Superman counterpart, holding kryptonite in one hand and casting a spell with the other. After the battle, she sneaks a little cuddle with Batman, and this Superwoman is literally bubbling with happiness afterward.

Hmm...

Hmm?? This isn't right. Where the heck am I? Is this even the Dark Multiverse?? Never mind how bright and cheerful everyone is, there's actually a genderbent Superman who isn't afraid of kryptonite and can use magic?

A bewildered Laughs: That's weird. Not sure. I'll take another look.

In short, the magic-side Superman, representing the Love Batman Association, strongly condemns the Dark Multiverse and delivers a personality-correction punch to Fate.

Theme: Even in darkness, keep your heart turned toward the light
