Cosplaying as a Superhero, but Working as a Monster Containment Officer

[Going VIP on October 1. I'll post 10,000 words that day, then 3,000 words daily afterward. Bonus chapters for tips and votes will be added as soon as possible after going VIP.] Lovecraftian tentacled "monster" top x "ordinary person" containment agent Batman Hehe, now the Ke in Clark's name stands for Cthulhu! An unconventional cosplay transmigration story. Superheroes in an ordinary-person AU: everyone has a happy family and is in good health. They gather at a comic convention to play a tabletop roleplaying game, and then, as expected, they transmigrate. Good news: They didn't end up on a superhero set, so they don't have to spend every day outsmarting all sorts of supervillains. Bad news: All their friends have become contained entities and wound up in different parallel universes. The world consciousness, having had so many pillars of support whisked away, whimpers: Master, I'm starving. Please save me. What can Bruce do? Of course he has to save his partner, his kids, and his friends. He's got a long road ahead. But... could that clingy tentacle monster with no sense of reason keep some distance? Bruce really doesn't want to become the protagonist of some kind of erotic story. Clark: ...QAQ Feeling the tentacles continue to probe deeper, Bruce blinks away the involuntary tears welling in his eyes. The parallel universes include all kinds of comic runs, movies, and cartoons, with plenty of headcanon. Everything serves the plot (and the power fantasy). This Lovecraftian Foundation setting is not at all rigorous. In short, it's a brainless, self-indulgent story where everyone reads too much into things. Cosplayers tentatively include: Clark - 0229 * The Eternal Black Sun (Trust me, Bruce. I'm a traditionalist. An eldritch god dating someone is the tradition here.) Jason - 0816 * Burning Vengeance (Joker, die! Scum, die! Kill them all, kill them all!) Lego Joker - 0233 * The Carnival Party (We threw an awesome party. Guess who wasn't invited?) Tim - 0719 * The Key to Wisdom and Knowledge I'm still thinking up impressive codenames for the other characters so they can look cool, hehe.
