After Bringing My Archrival Home

A brash, proud, short-tempered young master on the bottom x a cold, scheming, darkly possessive man on top

Qiu Fushui has a lifelong nemesis whose birth chart has been incompatible with his since childhood. They've spent years at each other's throats and can't stand the sight of one another.

On his way back from abroad, Qiu Fushui hears that something huge has happened to his nemesis.

A huge deal!

His nemesis is actually a fake young master who was switched at birth!

The friend who tells him the news warns him not to go gawk.

How could he not go gawk?

Qiu Fushui can't suppress his grin. Not only is he going to go gawk, he's going to see Lu Hengchuan looking down and out with his own eyes, and take the opportunity to mock and ridicule him.

For this, Qiu Fushui comes up with a great idea.

Take him in.

Is there anything more humiliating than being taken in by your nemesis when you have nowhere else to go?

Is there?

...There is.

But Qiu Fushui can't think of it right now. With another pair of eyes watching him at home, things are starting to get strange.

Lu Hengchuan appears at the restaurant entrance after Qiu Fushui has dinner with friends. He silently stands behind him while he chats with them, always handing him exactly what he needs and remembering every little thing he says... He seems to know everything about him.

It's perfectly normal to keep track of a nemesis's every move, Qiu Fushui tells himself.

But that gaze seems to follow him every moment, even when oceans lie between them.

Behind the black-rimmed glasses, Lu Hengchuan's eyes are gloomy and inscrutable. He presses Qiu Fushui into a corner, his voice low and hoarse. Qiu Fushui has nowhere to escape and can no longer pretend not to notice.

"Fushui, sweetheart, please don't talk to that person anymore, okay?"

Qiu Fushui shudders as his nemesis buries his face against the side of his neck, trembling.

"...I'm going crazy."

Reading Guide:

1. Both leads are each other's first. No secret crushes: read "nemeses" as "childhood friends who grew up together."

2. The switched-at-birth plot is not a major part of the story.

3. The characters are imperfect and may not suit readers with very strong character preferences.

Theme: Positive, uplifting energy.
