[Lovecraftian Containment] Offer ■■ to the Birth of the Queen Bee

Jiang Mi had always had a dream.

She wanted to go home.

She wanted to return to a warm, comfortable home that could shelter her from the wind and rain and offer her support and comfort.

But her unscrupulous parents, who had suddenly struck it rich only to gamble away their fortune and sell her to an organization as a test subject, would never give her such a home. The Earth was vast, but after she was turned into a monster, there was nowhere left for her to belong.

It didn't matter... It didn't matter...

If there was nowhere for her, then she would create a home of her own.

One that was indestructible, sweet, and cozy.

"Warning! Warning! Warning!"

"Containment subject, living organism, high-risk level S [Queen Bee], has breached containment! All personnel, take emergency precautions immediately!"

"The fragrance released by [Queen Bee] will dissolve human reason, and the honey she gives will dissolve human bodies! Do not look her in the eye! Do not speak to her! Do not submit to her, static, "

The alarm cut off.

A black-haired young man with dog ears, holding an axe, expressionlessly cleaved the space station's main control console in two.

A beautiful, flamboyantly handsome youth began complaining in a muffled voice about his brutality. If he'd been allowed to handle it, he could have solved the problem just by bewitching a few humans.

A silver-haired man smiled and said not to disturb the queen while she was nesting.

Jiang Mi was thinking.

Do I really need to let other people into my home?

The black-haired, dog-eared young man drooped his ears and said softly, "I'm not human, either. I'm your puppy. All I want is to stay with my master forever... Please, don't abandon me..."

The silver-haired man calmly made his pitch. "I'm your intelligent butler. Whether you need stronger defenses or greater firepower, I'll solve all your problems."

The flamboyantly handsome youth jumped up and down in a panic, his eyes nearly brimming with tears. "I-I... I can bring you more food! Then I'll be the cooking machine best at preparing meals! And I'm the best-looking one, too!"

Jiang Mi would sit in the place of the head of the family, upon the throne of her own kingdom.

[Queen Bee] was carefully examining every possession in her territory, inch by inch.

A few notes for readers

1. An alternate modern setting, with my very own take on elements such as Lovecraftian containment.

2. The heroine is no longer human, and neither are the other "people" around her. Their worldviews are abnormal, and so are the feelings that develop between these characters. Please don't compare them to real life (strong warning).

3. In a sense, this is a record of a monster's growth.

4. All characterizations and plot points serve the story.
