Who Taught You to Be Suguru Geto Like This?

Xia Meili was punished with two hundred years of service as a System after botching a mission. By the time she finally finished her sentence, the times had changed.

These days, the popular thing was being a strong female lead: the first thing you do after making it is dump your sweetheart.

Then why had she been punished back then? All she'd done was become empress, liberate the three thousand beauties in her harem and encourage her sisters to become officials, then put her targets 1, 2, and 3 in the harem as male favorites. How was she any less of a strong female lead? Why had that been considered a grave crime against the world back then?

She'd planned to make a fresh start, only to be told the strong-female-lead power fantasy group was full and the only team still recruiting was the angst group. Did she want in?

Xia Meili gritted her teeth and joined. Then she realized something was wrong.

"Why is this body male? Shouldn't I be the female lead?"

"Who told you that you were the female lead? You're the male lead in a 'chasing your wife to the crematorium' story. When the female lead shows up, just stab her, got it?"

Xia Meili: I don't quite get it...

Number 1972627 was an administrator in the fanfiction department, and they had a problem lately.

Due to a miscalculation, in the world they'd just launched, the male lead, Geto Suguru, had taken his memories from the first cycle with him and died along with the brain. They urgently needed someone to fill in. To cover up the mistake and protect their future bonus, they decided to find Xia Meili, whose System number hadn't yet been deactivated.

They gave the clueless Xia Meili a tampered script and put her in the role of the male lead.

They: "Get going! You feel like you're brimming with power right now. You're the god of the new age! You coldly abandoned the primitive female lead and wiped out her whole family, but even though you're utterly heartless, you still spared her life. You cut her body, but it hurts your heart..."

Xia Meili: "You don't need to persuade me. I'm turning myself in."

They: "...You're hilarious. How about a 'chasing your wife to the crematorium' package?"

Xia Meili: "No problem. I'll teach the female lead how to get the male lead thrown in jail. Make it a full crematorium urn set."

They: "...I'd advise you not to cause trouble."
