Those Who Start Love and Then Abandon It Will Be Seized and Kept

After transmigrating for many years, Qi Shi's life finally gets back on track.

He becomes an utterly ordinary military academy student. Though highly capable, he has no connections and is assigned to a remote planet to serve as a garrison soldier.

Qi Shi makes the best of it.

But no one knows his most unspeakable secret: early after he transmigrated, he was forced to become a man's dependent on a garbage planet, all for the sake of a single meal.

Every day, he lay beneath the man, listening to his sweat-soaked voice as he murmured "Pearl" in his ear. The man was like a wolf refusing to let go of the meat in its jaws.

The man's powerful grip still makes his bones ache faintly to this day.

The man is stingy, petty, jealous, domineering, and controlling. His only redeeming quality is that he gives Qi Shi anything he asks for.

To stay alive, Qi Shi has to soothe and placate him every day.

So when Qi Shi gets the chance to leave, he abandons the man without hesitation.

He tells him, "I don't want to live like a bug on a garbage planet. You can't give me what I want. Let's break up."

Madness lurks in the man's blood-red eyes. He wrecks a spaceship in a desperate attempt to chase after him.

But Qi Shi still gets away.

Ten years later, Qi Shi graduates from the military academy and begins serving the empire. The chaotic Thirty-Ninth Star System is swept under the control of a tyrant who appears out of nowhere.

The first thing the newly appointed tyrant does is offer a reward across the entire star system for his missing wife.

A young man with a tiny mole on his earlobe appears again and again on screens throughout the star sector. Wanted throughout the entire region, Qi Shi stares at his own image on a screen in the street.

He turns ice-cold and packs his things to flee in the middle of the night, but the area outside is already surrounded by layers of robots.

The man he hasn't seen in years appears before him in a city of gray, cold machinery. The dark red cloak embroidered with the imperial flower pools in the dust as the man moves.

The newly appointed tyrant personally uses a medical device to treat Qi Shi's sprained foot. Gripping his ankle, he murmurs with a cruel softness, "The Thirty-Ninth Star System is all my territory. Where do you think you can run?"
