Once Joined in Heart with the Immortal Venerable

Just after transmigrating into a world of immortal cultivation, You Xi finds herself facing a gigantic monster. Before she can even react, a young swordsman appears and slashes at the monster with a flash of his sword, right behind her.

The young swordsman is handsome, steady, and upright. You Xi thinks she won't be in any more danger, but she never expects that his immortal cultivation sect will be hunted down by its enemies and wiped out in a single night.

The two young people flee in a wretched state, supporting each other through desperate circumstances.

Maybe it's the suspension bridge effect, You Xi thinks. Under these circumstances, it's only natural that the two of them would develop feelings for each other.

But just as they are about to become cultivation partners and everything seems to be getting better, a fierce green sword light suddenly appears.

The sword light cleaves the heavens and earth in two, reducing everything around You Xi to dust. The young swordsman who was about to become her cultivation partner vanishes into nothing, never to return.

It turns out that You Xi has entered the heart demon tribulation of the former "young swordsman," now Venerable Youyu.

For Venerable Youyu, a cultivator at the Tribulation Transcendence stage, his greatest heart demon is the destruction of the sect that treated him like family when he was young. That event completely changed the young Xiao Youyu, turning him into a cold, heartless Sword Immortal who kept himself aloof from worldly affairs.

In the Sword Immortal's heart demon tribulation, the heart demon sent him back to his youth and created a girl named "You Xi" who never existed. She supported him all the way, redeeming the young swordsman with the warmth of sunshine and giving him a home once more.

Xiao Youyu was so immersed in that warmth that he nearly became trapped in his heart demon tribulation for all eternity. That was exactly what the heart demon wanted.

Fortunately, he ultimately broke free and shattered his heart demon tribulation with a single sword strike, returning to reality.

But the girl from the heart demon tribulation is standing right in front of him, alive and well, looking utterly bewildered. "Xiao Youyu?"

You Xi: #What do you do when you find out it's all fake just as you're about to get married?

It's difficult for a Sword Immortal at the Tribulation Transcendence stage to become cultivation partners with a mortal.

You Xi knows it isn't his fault. She simply says, "If you have no feelings for me, I'll leave. I'm going now. Take care of yourself."

Yet Venerable Youyu feels a sharp pain, as if someone has clutched his heart.

Xiao Youyu: #What do you do when you didn't hurt your wife, but you're still stuck chasing her after a breakup?

The plot and romance are evenly balanced.

The protagonist is the heart of the story.
