To earn her freedom as soon as possible, she follows the System's instructions and diligently plays the lovesick cannon-fodder character.

This includes, but is not limited to, taking a sword for the male lead, Yue Xichun, tending to his wounds, and showing him warmth, all to bring the male and female leads closer together.

While completing her missions, she carefully avoids Xue Fushui, the mad villain from the original story.

He seems gentle on the surface, but inside he's a rotten-to-the-core villain.

Before long, the entire sect will be destroyed by his hand.

Xue Fushui thinks the new junior sister is very interesting.

She's obviously scared out of her wits, practically on the verge of tears, yet she still overestimates herself and stands in front of Yue Xichun to protect him.

But for some reason, she always avoids him.

So he casually pulls a few strings, leaving Yue Xichun trapped in a demon's lair and keeping Chang Yu behind, eager to watch her cry and beg him for help.

Chang Yu is frantic with worry.

After the System urges her a few times, it suddenly falls silent.

With the System no longer concealing it, the demonic aura around her is exposed.

Chang Yu has another identity: she's a spy from the demonic sect.

With nowhere else to turn, she can only grab the hem of his robe and beg him to keep her secret.

The exceptionally handsome young man gazes into her tear-filled eyes and smiles. "All right."

Xue Fushui takes pity on Chang Yu and helps her conceal her demonic aura every day.

He tells her that the only way to hide it is to cover it with another person's aura.

So Chang Yu is held down on his lap, made to tilt her head back and endure his entangling kisses.

When she can barely catch her breath, a hand grips the back of her neck and he gently reminds her, "Open your mouth. Don't you dare hide."

Life by his side is comfortable, and she's managed to save her own skin, but his way of masking her aura becomes more and more outrageous.

Chang Yu's legs grow weaker by the day. Before Xue Fushui can let her go, she instead receives a marriage contract to become his cultivation partner.

Remembering how Xue Fushui had cajoled and tricked her with the utmost malice, Chang Yu's calves tremble.

For the sake of her life, she nervously poisons Xue Fushui and flees in the middle of the night.

When they meet again, Xue Fushui is crushing several people's skulls.

Dressed in black, with his habitual smile gone, he slowly approaches Chang Yu, bends down, and lifts her face.

His fingertip slowly rubs her reddened eyes.

He stares at her coldly for a long moment, then smiles as he says, "A Yu, why are you crying? We haven't even started yet."
