Quan Xuan committed a minor offense, and his impartial father cast him into the Reincarnation Stone.

Anyone cast down from the Reincarnation Stone loses half their spiritual power.

His friend, the Thunder God, tried to help him recover his power sooner with a bolt of lightning. But the strike went too far. His spiritual power didn't increase, and he couldn't even maintain his form. He turned into a miniature statue bearing his own likeness.

He was placed in a temple, and the very next day someone took him home. There, he formed a bond with Fang Wan'an, tying them together from then on.

At the time, all he wanted was to go home and demand justice for himself.

Twenty years later, his spiritual power had recovered, and Fang Wan'an's organ failure had turned into general frailty. Quan Xuan, meanwhile, had long since let go of the idea he once had.
