Golden Broom

Other people's fifties: tea, vacations, and a comfortable retirement.

Yang Ying's fiftieth year, however, was full of chaos and a divorce.

Her wealthy husband, who had behaved himself for most of his life, had the nerve to cheat on her in his old age. Furious, Yang Ying made up her mind to divorce him without a second thought.

Fortunately, she wasn't alone. Her young, beautiful, and capable daughter-in-law joined her in the divorce campaign.

And so the Mu father and son found themselves in trouble: "Two wealthy men, both divorced." They gave the people of Jiangcheng a year's worth of jokes.

"Hmph, I don't believe you can get used to living like an ordinary person again after all those years of luxury. Before long, you'll come crying back and beg me to take back my trash." Her blindly confident ex-husband sneered at her.

Was that really how things would go?

Yang Ying looked at the old acquaintance kneeling before her to propose, and silently accepted the champagne roses still fresh with dew from his hands.

In that instant, she suddenly remembered. Many years ago, when she was not yet twenty, she had received roses just like these.

She was old, not dead. What was so wrong with falling in love again? Yang Ying thought, and accepted his advances.

And so she made another dazzling return to the world of the wealthy.

*The heart doesn't grow old with the body. Middle-aged and elderly people can fall in love too, and have their share of melodrama! Yes! (I'm sure of it ฅωฅ)*
