The Divine Beast Bai Ze in the Detective World

As a divine beast who knows everything and excels at medicine and magic, he's handsome, wealthy, and generous. He should be the most popular man in Heaven and Hell!

But instead...

That gloomy, sadistic S type ruined his reputation again and again, so in a fit of anger, he rashly came to the mortal world for a vacation and a change of scenery.

Who knew he'd get caught up in a murder case, nearly become a victim himself, then get dragged into some kind of dark organization? He even earned the title of "undying doctor" and became an unlucky guy both sides, red and black, were fighting over.

Bai Ze gazed gloomily at the little detective trying to persuade him to accept protection from the good guys. "So the reason your soul and body don't match is that the organization abused you!"

He had always thought Conan had shrunk so he could spend more time with the girl he liked.

"..."

The great detective was shocked and suspicious, and pretended not to understand.

"A soul? I didn't expect Mr. Bai Ze to believe in that sort of thing. I'm a staunch scientific materialist."

"Really? If your best friend had been by your side all this time, wouldn't you want to see him?"

"..."

The undercover agent couldn't bring himself to say he didn't.

Seeing the situation turn troublesome, the pink-haired graduate student cut straight to the point. "Mr. Bai Ze, do you know why you're called the undying doctor?"

"Maybe because I've stayed alive this whole time?"

"..."

Is he pretending not to understand?!

Time means nothing to a divine beast. Bai Ze had wandered around the mortal world for over a hundred years, and couldn't remember who he had met or whom he'd saved along the way.

But whenever he left, the world blurred the memories connected to him. The BOSS of that black-clad organization was the only one who somehow managed to remember him.

Just as the trio were testing Bai Ze in every possible way, trouble struck the organization.

First came a daily clock-in and clock-out system, then reimbursement requiring receipts, then post-mission reports, and plans for career development.

What a joke!

They're a dark organization, not a dark corporation. Who wants to do that kind of thing?!

Gin didn't shoot the person who proposed these changes?! Gin... was the one leading the charge.

Word had it that Gin's career plan was to become a full-time employee as soon as possible.

"..."

Is he insane?!
