Yun Zhimian is spoiled by nature and has nothing going for him but his looks.
Unfortunately, the Yun family is powerful. Even though Young Master Yun has a naturally alluring physique and an intoxicating fragrance that makes him the perfect cultivation cauldron, no one dares openly look down on him.
Then the Yun family is suddenly destroyed. The once pampered young master falls into the mire, left with a body riddled with illness and a mind reduced to that of a child.
Quite a few of the Immortal Alliance's most gifted young cultivators have been insulted and offended by Yun Zhimian.
One person can't help but grow restless with temptation, but then catches sight of a beautiful back trembling like a cicada's wings on the bed inside...
There's someone else in the room!
It's Yan Wuxian.
The servant Yun Zhimian used to order around and scold like a dog.
After the family fell, Yan Wuxian instead joined the Xu Xiao Sect and rose to great heights in a single step, becoming its revered chief disciple.
With one hand on the delicate, fragile nape of his neck, Yan Wuxian's eyes burn red. It's impossible to say whether hatred or desire is stronger in him. His tone is unreadable. "What is the young master to his servant now?"
The voice that once spoke with such arrogant superiority now murmurs softly, melting like water. "A cultivation cauldron..."
Yan Wuxian naturally detests Yun Zhimian.
This man is responsible for decades of his miserable life. He's been slapped, whipped, and locked in a dungeon. Even after Yun Zhimian became a fool, Yan Wuxian had to carry him up thousands of steps just so he could watch fireworks...
So it was indeed Yan Wuxian who suggested sending Yun Zhimian to the demon realm as a hostage.
Word has spread that the Demon Lord suffers from a strange illness. He once sought out a healer from the Hehuan Sect, but they found nothing. What might happen to someone with a cultivation-cauldron physique there goes without saying.
No one notices a familiar figure run away from outside the door.
Yun Zhimian enters the demon realm in tears.
He escapes during the chaos that engulfs it, and by now, after all these years, no one probably cares whether he's still alive.
No one knows that he's regained his senses. This is a cultivation novel about a chosen hero, and the protagonist is Yan Wuxian. Yun Zhimian is nothing more than a vicious cannon-fodder character.
